1 Yahweh’s word came to Jehu the son of Hanani against Baasha, saying,And the word of Jehovah came to Jehu the son of Hanani against Baasha, saying,여호와의 말씀이 하나니의 아들 예후에게 임하여 바아사를 향해 이렇게 말씀하셨다.
2 “ Because I exalted you out of the dust and made you prince over my people Israel, and you have walked in the way of Jeroboam and have made my people Israel to sin, to provoke me to anger with their sins,Forasmuch as I exalted thee out of the dust, and made thee prince over my people Israel, and thou hast walked in the way of Jeroboam, and hast made my people Israel to sin, to provoke me to anger with their sins;“내가 너를 티끌에서 일으켜 내 백성 이스라엘을 다스리는 지도자로 삼았으나, 너는 여로보암의 길을 걸어 내 백성 이스라엘로 죄를 짓게 하고 그들의 죄로 나의 노여움을 일으켰다.
3 behold, I will utterly sweep away Baasha and his house; and I will make your house like the house of Jeroboam the son of Nebat.behold, I will utterly sweep away Baasha and his house; and I will make thy house like the house of Jeroboam the son of Nebat.보라, 내가 바아사와 그의 집안을 완전히 쓸어버리고, 네 집안을 느밧의 아들 여로보암의 집안처럼 되게 하겠다.
4 The dogs will eat Baasha’s descendants who die in the city; and he who dies of his in the field, the birds of the sky will eat.”Him that dieth of Baasha in the city shall the dogs eat; and him that dieth of his in the field shall the birds of the heavens eat.바아사에게 속한 사람으로 성읍에서 죽는 자는 개들이 먹고, 들에서 죽는 자는 하늘의 새들이 먹을 것이다.”

6 Baasha slept with his fathers, and was buried in Tirzah; and Elah his son reigned in his place.And Baasha slept with his fathers, and was buried in Tirzah; and Elah his son reigned in his stead.바아사가 그의 조상들과 함께 잠들어 디르사에 묻히니, 그의 아들 엘라가 그를 이어 왕이 되었다.
7 Moreover Yahweh’s word came by the prophet Jehu the son of Hanani against Baasha and against his house, both because of all the evil that he did in Yahweh’s sight, to provoke him to anger with the work of his hands, in being like the house of Jeroboam, and because he struck him.And moreover by the prophet Jehu the son of Hanani came the word of Jehovah against Baasha, and against his house, both because of all the evil that he did in the sight of Jehovah, to provoke him to anger with the work of his hands, in being like the house of Jeroboam, and because he smote him.또한 하나니의 아들 예후 선지자를 통해 여호와의 말씀이 바아사와 그의 집안을 향해 임했으니, 이는 그가 여호와 보시기에 행한 모든 악 때문이며, 자기 손으로 한 일로 여호와의 노여움을 일으켜 여로보암의 집안처럼 된 까닭이요, 또한 그가 그(여로보암의 집안)를 쳐서 죽인 까닭이었다.
8 In the twenty-sixth year of Asa king of Judah, Elah the son of Baasha began to reign over Israel in Tirzah for two years.In the twenty and sixth year of Asa king of Judah began Elah the son of Baasha to reign over Israel in Tirzah, and reigned two years.유다 왕 아사 제이십육 년에 바아사의 아들 엘라가 디르사에서 이스라엘을 다스리기 시작하여 이 년 동안 다스렸다.
9 His servant Zimri, captain of half his chariots, conspired against him. Now he was in Tirzah, drinking himself drunk in the house of Arza, who was over the household in Tirzah;And his servant Zimri, captain of half his chariots, conspired against him. Now he was in Tirzah, drinking himself drunk in the house of Arza, who was over the household in Tirzah:그의 신하 시므리는 병거 절반을 거느린 지휘관이었는데, 그를 모반하였다. 그때 엘라는 디르사에서 그 성의 왕궁 살림을 맡은 아르사의 집에서 술에 취해 있었다.
10 and Zimri went in and struck him and killed him in the twenty-seventh year of Asa king of Judah, and reigned in his place.and Zimri went in and smote him, and killed him, in the twenty and seventh year of Asa king of Judah, and reigned in his stead.시므리가 들어가 그를 쳐서 죽이고, 유다 왕 아사 제이십칠 년에 그를 이어 왕이 되었다.
11 When he began to reign, as soon as he sat on his throne, he attacked all the house of Baasha. He didn’t leave him a single one who urinates on a wall among his relatives or his friends.And it came to pass, when he began to reign, as soon as he sat on his throne, that he smote all the house of Baasha: he left him not a single man-child, neither of his kinsfolks, nor of his friends.시므리가 왕이 되어 왕좌에 앉자마자 바아사의 온 집안을 쳐서, 친족이든 친구든 남자라고는 한 사람도 남기지 않았다.
12 Thus Zimri destroyed all the house of Baasha, according to Yahweh’s word which he spoke against Baasha by Jehu the prophet,Thus did Zimri destroy all the house of Baasha, according to the word of Jehovah, which he spake against Baasha by Jehu the prophet,이렇게 시므리는 바아사의 온 집안을 멸하였으니, 이는 여호와께서 예후 선지자를 통해 바아사를 향해 하신 말씀대로 된 것이었다.
13 for all the sins of Baasha, and the sins of Elah his son, which they sinned and with which they made Israel to sin, to provoke Yahweh, the God of Israel, to anger with their vanities.for all the sins of Baasha, and the sins of Elah his son, which they sinned, and wherewith they made Israel to sin, to provoke Jehovah, the God of Israel, to anger with their vanities.이는 바아사와 그의 아들 엘라의 모든 죄 때문이었으니, 그들이 죄를 지었고 또 그것으로 이스라엘로 죄를 짓게 하여 헛된 우상으로 이스라엘의 하나님 여호와의 노여움을 일으켰기 때문이다.

15 In the twenty-seventh year of Asa king of Judah, Zimri reigned seven days in Tirzah. Now the people were encamped against Gibbethon, which belonged to the Philistines.In the twenty and seventh year of Asa king of Judah did Zimri reign seven days in Tirzah. Now the people were encamped against Gibbethon, which belonged to the Philistines.유다 왕 아사 제이십칠 년에 시므리가 디르사에서 칠 일 동안 다스렸다. 그때 백성은 블레셋에 속한 깁브돈을 치려고 진을 치고 있었다.
16 The people who were encamped heard that Zimri had conspired, and had also killed the king. Therefore all Israel made Omri, the captain of the army, king over Israel that day in the camp.And the people that were encamped heard say, Zimri hath conspired, and hath also smitten the king: wherefore all Israel made Omri, the captain of the host, king over Israel that day in the camp.진을 치고 있던 백성이 시므리가 모반하여 왕까지 죽였다는 소식을 듣고, 온 이스라엘이 그날 진영에서 군대 지휘관 오므리를 이스라엘 왕으로 삼았다.
17 Omri went up from Gibbethon, and all Israel with him, and they besieged Tirzah.And Omri went up from Gibbethon, and all Israel with him, and they besieged Tirzah.오므리가 온 이스라엘과 함께 깁브돈에서 올라와 디르사를 에워쌌다.
18 When Zimri saw that the city was taken, he went into the fortified part of the king’s house and burned the king’s house over him with fire, and died,And it came to pass, when Zimri saw that the city was taken, that he went into the castle of the king’s house, and burnt the king’s house over him with fire, and died,시므리가 성이 함락된 것을 보고 왕궁의 요새로 들어가 왕궁에 불을 질러 그 안에서 타 죽었으니,

22 But the people who followed Omri prevailed against the people who followed Tibni the son of Ginath; so Tibni died, and Omri reigned.But the people that followed Omri prevailed against the people that followed Tibni the son of Ginath: so Tibni died, and Omri reigned.그러나 오므리를 따르는 백성이 기낫의 아들 디브니를 따르는 백성을 이기니, 디브니는 죽고 오므리가 왕이 되었다.
23 In the thirty-first year of Asa king of Judah, Omri began to reign over Israel for twelve years. He reigned six years in Tirzah.In the thirty and first year of Asa king of Judah began Omri to reign over Israel, and reigned twelve years: six years reigned he in Tirzah.유다 왕 아사 제삼십일 년에 오므리가 이스라엘을 다스리기 시작하여 십이 년 동안 다스렸는데, 그중 육 년은 디르사에서 다스렸다.

25 Omri did that which was evil in Yahweh’s sight, and dealt wickedly above all who were before him.And Omri did that which was evil in the sight of Jehovah, and dealt wickedly above all that were before him.오므리가 여호와 보시기에 악을 행하여 그 이전의 모든 사람보다 더 악하게 행하였다.
26 For he walked in all the way of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, and in his sins with which he made Israel to sin, to provoke Yahweh, the God of Israel, to anger with their vanities.For he walked in all the way of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, and in his sins wherewith he made Israel to sin, to provoke Jehovah, the God of Israel, to anger with their vanities.그가 느밧의 아들 여로보암의 모든 길을 걸으며 그의 죄대로 행하여 이스라엘로 죄를 짓게 하고, 헛된 우상으로 이스라엘의 하나님 여호와의 노여움을 일으켰다.

29 In the thirty-eighth year of Asa king of Judah, Ahab the son of Omri began to reign over Israel. Ahab the son of Omri reigned over Israel in Samaria twenty-two years.And in the thirty and eighth year of Asa king of Judah began Ahab the son of Omri to reign over Israel: and Ahab the son of Omri reigned over Israel in Samaria twenty and two years.유다 왕 아사 제삼십팔 년에 오므리의 아들 아합이 이스라엘을 다스리기 시작하여, 오므리의 아들 아합이 사마리아에서 이스라엘을 이십이 년 동안 다스렸다.
30 Ahab the son of Omri did that which was evil in Yahweh’s sight above all that were before him.And Ahab the son of Omri did that which was evil in the sight of Jehovah above all that were before him.오므리의 아들 아합이 여호와 보시기에 악을 행하여 그 이전의 모든 사람보다 더 악하게 행하였다.
31 As if it had been a light thing for him to walk in the sins of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, he took as wife Jezebel the daughter of Ethbaal king of the Sidonians, and went and served Baal and worshiped him.And it came to pass, as if it had been a light thing for him to walk in the sins of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, that he took to wife Jezebel the daughter of Ethbaal king of the Sidonians, and went and served Baal, and worshipped him.그는 느밧의 아들 여로보암의 죄를 따라 걷는 것을 오히려 가벼운 일로 여기고, 시돈 사람의 왕 엣바알의 딸 이세벨을 아내로 맞아들이고 가서 바알을 섬기며 그에게 절하였다.
32 He raised up an altar for Baal in the house of Baal, which he had built in Samaria.And he reared up an altar for Baal in the house of Baal, which he had built in Samaria.그가 사마리아에 세운 바알의 신전 안에 바알을 위한 제단을 쌓았다.

34 In his days Hiel the Bethelite built Jericho. He laid its foundation with the loss of Abiram his firstborn, and set up its gates with the loss of his youngest son Segub, according to Yahweh’s word, which he spoke by Joshua the son of Nun.In his days did Hiel the Beth-elite build Jericho: he laid the foundation thereof with the loss of Abiram his first-born, and set up the gates thereof with the loss of his youngest son Segub, according to the word of Jehovah, which he spake by Joshua the son of Nun.그의 시대에 벧엘 사람 히엘이 여리고를 건축하였다. 그가 그 성의 기초를 놓을 때에 맏아들 아비람을 잃었고, 성문을 세울 때에 막내아들 스굽을 잃었으니, 이는 여호와께서 눈의 아들 여호수아를 통해 하신 말씀대로 된 것이었다.
