1 When I came to you, brothers, I didn’ t come with excellence of speech or of wisdom, proclaiming to you the testimony of God.And I, brethren, when I came unto you, came not with excellency of speech or of wisdom, proclaiming to you the testimony of God.형제 여러분, 내가 여러분에게 갔을 때에 하나님의 증거를 전하면서 뛰어난 말솜씨나 지혜로 하지 않았습니다.
2 For I determined not to know anything among you except Jesus Christ and him crucified.For I determined not to know anything among you, save Jesus Christ, and him crucified.나는 여러분 가운데서 예수 그리스도, 곧 십자가에 못 박히신 그분 외에는 아무것도 알지 않기로 작정했기 때문입니다.
3 I was with you in weakness, in fear, and in much trembling.And I was with you in weakness, and in fear, and in much trembling.나는 약한 모습으로, 두려움과 심한 떨림 속에서 여러분과 함께 있었습니다.
4 My speech and my preaching were not in persuasive words of human wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power,And my speech and my preaching were not in persuasive words of wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power:내 말과 내 전파는 인간의 지혜에서 나온 설득력 있는 말로 한 것이 아니라, 성령과 능력의 나타나심으로 한 것이었습니다.
5 that your faith wouldn’ t stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God.that your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God.이는 여러분의 믿음이 사람의 지혜에 서지 않고 하나님의 능력에 서게 하려는 것입니다.
6 We speak wisdom, however, among those who are full grown, yet a wisdom not of this world nor of the rulers of this world who are coming to nothing.We speak wisdom, however, among them that are fullgrown: yet a wisdom not of this world, nor of the rulers of this world, who are coming to nought:그러나 우리는 성숙한 사람들 가운데서 지혜를 말합니다. 다만 이 세상의 지혜나 곧 사라질 이 세상 통치자들의 지혜가 아닙니다.
7 But we speak God’s wisdom in a mystery, the wisdom that has been hidden, which God foreordained before the worlds for our glory,but we speak God’s wisdom in a mystery, even the wisdom that hath been hidden, which God foreordained before the worlds unto our glory:우리는 감추어진 비밀한 하나님의 지혜를 말하는데, 이는 하나님이 우리의 영광을 위하여 세상이 있기 전에 미리 정하신 지혜입니다.
8 which none of the rulers of this world has known. For had they known it, they wouldn’ t have crucified the Lord of glory.which none of the rulers of this world hath known: for had they known it, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory:이 세상의 어떤 통치자도 이 지혜를 알지 못했습니다. 만일 그들이 알았더라면 영광의 주를 십자가에 못 박지 않았을 것입니다.
9 But as it is written, “ Things which an eye didn’ t see, and an ear didn’ t hear, which didn’ t enter into the heart of man, these God has prepared for those who love him.”but as it is written, Things which eye saw not, and ear heard not, And which entered not into the heart of man, Whatsoever things God prepared for them that love him.그러나 기록된 것과 같습니다. "눈으로 보지 못하고 귀로 듣지 못했으며 사람의 마음에 떠오르지도 않은 것들, 곧 하나님이 자기를 사랑하는 자들을 위하여 예비하신 것들이라."
10 But to us, God revealed them through the Spirit. For the Spirit searches all things, yes, the deep things of God.But unto us God revealed them through the Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God.그러나 하나님은 성령을 통하여 그것들을 우리에게 드러내 보이셨습니다. 성령은 모든 것을, 곧 하나님의 깊은 것까지도 살피시기 때문입니다.
11 For who among men knows the things of a man except the spirit of the man which is in him? Even so, no one knows the things of God except God’s Spirit.For who among men knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of the man, which is in him? even so the things of God none knoweth, save the Spirit of God.사람의 일을 그 속에 있는 사람의 영 외에 누가 알겠습니까? 이와 같이 하나님의 일도 하나님의 영 외에는 아무도 알지 못합니다.
12 But we received not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit which is from God, that we might know the things that were freely given to us by God.But we received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is from God; that we might know the things that were freely given to us of God.우리는 세상의 영을 받은 것이 아니라 하나님께로부터 오신 성령을 받았으니, 이는 하나님이 우리에게 거저 주신 것들을 우리가 알게 하려는 것입니다.
13 We also speak these things, not in words which man’s wisdom teaches but which the Holy Spirit teaches, comparing spiritual things with spiritual things.Which things also we speak, not in words which man’s wisdom teacheth, but which the Spirit teacheth; combining spiritual things with spiritual words.우리는 이것들을 말하되 사람의 지혜가 가르치는 말로 하지 않고 성령이 가르치시는 말로 하여, 영적인 것을 영적인 것으로 분별합니다.
14 Now the natural man doesn’ t receive the things of God’s Spirit, for they are foolishness to him; and he can’ t know them, because they are spiritually discerned.Now the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him; and he cannot know them, because they are spiritually judged.육에 속한 사람은 하나님의 성령의 일을 받아들이지 못합니다. 그것이 그에게는 어리석게 보이고 또 알 수도 없으니, 이는 그것들이 영적으로 분별되기 때문입니다.
15 But he who is spiritual discerns all things, and he himself is to be judged by no one.But he that is spiritual judgeth all things, and he himself is judged of no man.그러나 영에 속한 사람은 모든 것을 분별하지만, 정작 그 자신은 아무에게도 판단받지 않습니다.
16 “ For who has known the mind of the Lord that he should instruct him?” But we have Christ’ s mind.For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he should instruct him? But we have the mind of Christ."누가 주의 마음을 알아서 그를 가르치겠느냐?" 하였으나, 우리는 그리스도의 마음을 가지고 있습니다.
