1 Brothers, I couldn’t speak to you as to spiritual, but as to fleshly, as to babies in Christ.And I, brethren, could not speak unto you as unto spiritual, but as unto carnal, as unto babes in Christ.형제 여러분, 나는 여러분을 영적인 사람을 대하듯 말할 수 없었고, 육신에 속한 사람, 곧 그리스도 안에서 갓난아기를 대하듯 말할 수밖에 없었습니다.
2 I fed you with milk, not with solid food, for you weren’t yet ready. Indeed, you aren’t ready even now,I fed you with milk, not with meat; for ye were not yet able to bear it: nay, not even now are ye able;나는 여러분에게 젖을 먹였고 단단한 음식을 주지 않았습니다. 그때는 여러분이 아직 받아들일 준비가 되어 있지 않았기 때문입니다. 사실 지금도 여러분은 준비가 되어 있지 않습니다.
3 for you are still fleshly. For insofar as there is jealousy, strife, and factions among you, aren’t you fleshly, and don’t you walk in the ways of men?for ye are yet carnal: for whereas there is among you jealousy and strife, are ye not carnal, and do ye not walk after the manner of men?여러분이 여전히 육신에 속해 있기 때문입니다. 여러분 가운데 시기와 다툼과 분열이 있으니, 이것이야말로 여러분이 육신에 속한 사람이며 세상 사람들의 방식대로 살고 있다는 증거가 아니겠습니까?
4 For when one says, “ I follow Paul,” and another, “ I follow Apollos,” aren’t you fleshly?For when one saith, I am of Paul; and another, I am of Apollos; are ye not men?어떤 사람은 "나는 바울을 따른다" 하고, 또 어떤 사람은 "나는 아볼로를 따른다" 하니, 이것이 여러분이 육신에 속한 사람임을 보여 주는 것이 아니겠습니까?
5 Who then is Apollos, and who is Paul, but servants through whom you believed, and each as the Lord gave to him?What then is Apollos? and what is Paul? Ministers through whom ye believed; and each as the Lord gave to him.그렇다면 아볼로는 무엇이고 바울은 무엇입니까? 그저 여러분을 믿음으로 이끈 일꾼들일 뿐이며, 각 사람은 주께서 맡겨 주신 대로 일했을 뿐입니다.
6 I planted. Apollos watered. But God gave the increase.I planted, Apollos watered; but God gave the increase.나는 심었고 아볼로는 물을 주었지만, 자라게 하신 분은 하나님이십니다.
7 So then neither he who plants is anything, nor he who waters, but God who gives the increase.So then neither is he that planteth anything, neither he that watereth; but God that giveth the increase.그러므로 심는 사람도 물 주는 사람도 아무것도 아니며, 오직 자라게 하시는 하나님만이 중요합니다.
8 Now he who plants and he who waters are the same, but each will receive his own reward according to his own labor.Now he that planteth and he that watereth are one: but each shall receive his own reward according to his own labor.심는 사람과 물 주는 사람은 하나이며, 각 사람은 자기가 수고한 만큼 자기 상을 받을 것입니다.
9 For we are God’s fellow workers. You are God’s farming, God’s building.For we are God’s fellow-workers: ye are God’s husbandry, God’s building.우리는 하나님의 동역자이며, 여러분은 하나님의 밭이요 하나님의 건물입니다.
10 According to the grace of God which was given to me, as a wise master builder I laid a foundation, and another builds on it. But let each man be careful how he builds on it.According to the grace of God which was given unto me, as a wise masterbuilder I laid a foundation; and another buildeth thereon. But let each man take heed how he buildeth thereon.나는 내게 주신 하나님의 은혜를 따라 지혜로운 건축자처럼 기초를 놓았고, 다른 사람이 그 위에 세워 갑니다. 그러나 각 사람은 그 위에 어떻게 세우는지 조심해야 합니다.
11 For no one can lay any other foundation than that which has been laid, which is Jesus Christ.For other foundation can no man lay than that which is laid, which is Jesus Christ.이미 놓인 기초 외에는 아무도 다른 기초를 놓을 수 없으니, 그 기초는 곧 예수 그리스도이십니다.
12 But if anyone builds on the foundation with gold, silver, costly stones, wood, hay, or straw,But if any man buildeth on the foundation gold, silver, costly stones, wood, hay, stubble;누구든지 이 기초 위에 금이나 은이나 값진 돌이나 나무나 풀이나 짚으로 세우면,
13 each man’s work will be revealed. For the Day will declare it, because it is revealed in fire; and the fire itself will test what sort of work each man’s work is.each man’s work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it is revealed in fire; and the fire itself shall prove each man’s work of what sort it is.각 사람의 일이 드러날 것입니다. 그날이 그것을 밝히 드러낼 터인데, 불로 나타나며 그 불이 각 사람의 일이 어떤 것인지 시험할 것이기 때문입니다.
14 If any man’s work remains which he built on it, he will receive a reward.If any man’s work shall abide which he built thereon, he shall receive a reward.누구든지 그 위에 세운 일이 남으면, 그 사람은 상을 받을 것입니다.
15 If any man’s work is burned, he will suffer loss, but he himself will be saved, but as through fire.If any man’s work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved; yet so as through fire.누구든지 그 일이 타 버리면 그 사람은 손해를 입겠지만, 자기 자신은 구원을 받되 마치 불 속을 지나온 것 같을 것입니다.
16 Don’ t you know that you are God’s temple and that God’s Spirit lives in you?Know ye not that ye are a temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?여러분은 자신이 하나님의 성전이며 하나님의 성령이 여러분 안에 거하신다는 것을 알지 못합니까?
17 If anyone destroys God’s temple, God will destroy him; for God’s temple is holy, which you are.If any man destroyeth the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, and such are ye.누구든지 하나님의 성전을 허물면 하나님께서 그 사람을 허물어 버리실 것입니다. 하나님의 성전은 거룩하며, 여러분이 바로 그 성전이기 때문입니다.
18 Let no one deceive himself. If anyone thinks that he is wise among you in this world, let him become a fool that he may become wise.Let no man deceive himself. If any man thinketh that he is wise among you in this world, let him become a fool, that he may become wise.아무도 자신을 속이지 마십시오. 여러분 가운데 누구든지 이 세상에서 자기가 지혜롭다고 여긴다면, 차라리 어리석은 사람이 되어 참으로 지혜로워지십시오.
19 For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God. For it is written, “ He has taken the wise in their craftiness.”For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God. For it is written, He that taketh the wise in their craftiness:이 세상의 지혜는 하나님 앞에서 어리석은 것이기 때문입니다. 기록되기를 "하나님은 지혜로운 자들을 그들의 간교함 속에서 붙잡으신다" 하였습니다.
20 And again, “ The Lord knows the reasoning of the wise, that it is worthless.”and again, The Lord knoweth the reasonings of the wise, that they are vain.또 기록되기를 "주께서는 지혜로운 자들의 생각이 헛된 것임을 아신다" 하였습니다.
21 Therefore let no one boast in men. For all things are yours,Wherefore let no one glory in men. For all things are yours;그러므로 아무도 사람을 자랑하지 마십시오. 모든 것이 다 여러분의 것이기 때문입니다.
22 whether Paul, or Apollos, or Cephas, or the world, or life, or death, or things present, or things to come. All are yours,whether Paul, or Apollos, or Cephas, or the world, or life, or death, or things present, or things to come; all are yours;바울이든 아볼로든 게바든, 세상이든 생명이든 죽음이든, 지금 있는 것이든 앞으로 올 것이든, 모든 것이 다 여러분의 것입니다.
23 and you are Christ’s, and Christ is God’s.and ye are Christ’s; and Christ is God’s.여러분은 그리스도의 것이며, 그리스도는 하나님의 것입니다.
