John 11장

Now a certain man was sick, Lazarus from Bethany, of the village of Mary and her sister, Martha. Now a certain man was sick, Lazarus of Bethany, of the village of Mary and her sister Martha.

It was that Mary who had anointed the Lord with ointment and wiped his feet with her hair, whose brother Lazarus was sick. And it was that Mary who anointed the Lord with ointment, and wiped his feet with her hair, whose brother Lazarus was sick.

The sisters therefore sent to him, saying, “ Lord, behold, he for whom you have great affection is sick.”The sisters therefore sent unto him, saying, Lord, behold, he whom thou lovest is sick.

But when Jesus heard it, he said, “ This sickness is not to death, but for the glory of God, that God’s Son may be glorified by it.”But when Jesus heard it, he said, This sickness is not unto death, but for the glory of God, that the Son of God may be glorified thereby.

Now Jesus loved Martha, and her sister, and Lazarus. Now Jesus loved Martha, and her sister, and Lazarus.

When therefore he heard that he was sick, he stayed two days in the place where he was. When therefore he heard that he was sick, he abode at that time two days in the place where he was.

Then after this he said to the disciples, “ Let’s go into Judea again.”Then after this he saith to the disciples, Let us go into Judæa again.

The disciples asked him, “ Rabbi, the Jews were just trying to stone you. Are you going there again?”The disciples say unto him, Rabbi, the Jews were but now seeking to stone thee; and goest thou thither again?

Jesus answered, “Aren’ t there twelve hours of daylight? If a man walks in the day, he doesn’ t stumble, because he sees the light of this world.Jesus answered, Are there not twelve hours in the day? If a man walk in the day, he stumbleth not, because he seeth the light of this world.

But if a man walks in the night, he stumbles, because the light isn’ t in him.”But if a man walk in the night, he stumbleth, because the light is not in him.

He said these things, and after that, he said to them, “ Our friend Lazarus has fallen asleep, but I am going so that I may awake him out of sleep.”These things spake he: and after this he saith unto them, Our friend Lazarus is fallen asleep; but I go, that I may awake him out of sleep.

The disciples therefore said, “ Lord, if he has fallen asleep, he will recover.”The disciples therefore said unto him, Lord, if he is fallen asleep, he will recover.

Now Jesus had spoken of his death, but they thought that he spoke of taking rest in sleep. Now Jesus had spoken of his death: but they thought that he spake of taking rest in sleep.

So Jesus said to them plainly then, “ Lazarus is dead. Then Jesus therefore said unto them plainly, Lazarus is dead.

I am glad for your sakes that I was not there, so that you may believe. Nevertheless, let’s go to him.”And I am glad for your sakes that I was not there, to the intent ye may believe; nevertheless let us go unto him.

Thomas therefore, who is called Didymus, said to his fellow disciples, “ Let’s also go, that we may die with him.”Thomas therefore, who is called Didymus, said unto his fellow-disciples, Let us also go, that we may die with him.

So when Jesus came, he found that he had been in the tomb four days already. So when Jesus came, he found that he had been in the tomb four days already.

Now Bethany was near Jerusalem, about fifteen stadia away. Now Bethany was nigh unto Jerusalem, about fifteen furlongs off;베다니는 예루살렘에서 가까워 약 십오 스타디온쯤 떨어져 있었습니다.

Many of the Jews had joined the women around Martha and Mary, to console them concerning their brother.and many of the Jews had come to Martha and Mary, to console them concerning their brother.

Then when Martha heard that Jesus was coming, she went and met him, but Mary stayed in the house.Martha therefore, when she heard that Jesus was coming, went and met him: but Mary still sat in the house.

Therefore Martha said to Jesus, “ Lord, if you would have been here, my brother wouldn’ t have died.Martha therefore said unto Jesus, Lord, if thou hadst been here, my brother had not died.

Even now I know that whatever you ask of God, God will give you.”And even now I know that, whatsoever thou shalt ask of God, God will give thee.

Jesus said to her, “ Your brother will rise again.”Jesus saith unto her, Thy brother shall rise again.

Martha said to him, “ I know that he will rise again in the resurrection at the last day.”Martha saith unto him, I know that he shall rise again in the resurrection at the last day.

Jesus said to her, “ I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in me will still live, even if he dies.Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth on me, though he die, yet shall he live;예수께서 그녀에게 말씀하셨습니다.

Whoever lives and believes in me will never die. Do you believe this?”and whosoever liveth and believeth on me shall never die. Believest thou this?

She said to him, “ Yes, Lord. I have come to believe that you are the Christ, God’ s Son, he who comes into the world.”She saith unto him, Yea, Lord: I have believed that thou art the Christ, the Son of God, even he that cometh into the world.

When she had said this, she went away and called Mary, her sister, secretly, saying, “ The Teacher is here and is calling you.”And when she had said this, she went away, and called Mary her sister secretly, saying, The Teacher is here, and calleth thee.

When she heard this, she arose quickly and went to him.And she, when she heard it, arose quickly, and went unto him.

Now Jesus had not yet come into the village, but was in the place where Martha met him.( Now Jesus was not yet come into the village, but was still in the place where Martha met him.)

Then the Jews who were with her in the house and were consoling her, when they saw Mary, that she rose up quickly and went out, followed her, saying, “ She is going to the tomb to weep there.”The Jews then who were with her in the house, and were consoling her, when they saw Mary, that she rose up quickly and went out, followed her, supposing that she was going unto the tomb to weep there.

Therefore when Mary came to where Jesus was and saw him, she fell down at his feet, saying to him, “ Lord, if you would have been here, my brother wouldn’ t have died.”Mary therefore, when she came where Jesus was, and saw him, fell down at his feet, saying unto him, Lord, if thou hadst been here, my brother had not died.

When Jesus therefore saw her weeping, and the Jews weeping who came with her, he groaned in the spirit and was troubled,When Jesus therefore saw her weeping, and the Jews also weeping who came with her, he groaned in the spirit, and was troubled,예수께서 그녀가 우는 것과 함께 온 유대 사람들이 우는 것을 보시고, 영으로 깊이 탄식하시며 괴로워하셨습니다.

and said, “ Where have you laid him?” They told him, “ Lord, come and see.”and said, Where have ye laid him? They say unto him, Lord, come and see.

Jesus wept.Jesus wept.

The Jews therefore said, “ See how much affection he had for him!”The Jews therefore said, Behold how he loved him!

Some of them said, “Couldn’ t this man, who opened the eyes of him who was blind, have also kept this man from dying?”But some of them said, Could not this man, who opened the eyes of him that was blind, have caused that this man also should not die?

Jesus therefore, again groaning in himself, came to the tomb. Now it was a cave, and a stone lay against it.Jesus therefore again groaning in himself cometh to the tomb. Now it was a cave, and a stone lay against it.

Jesus said, “Take away the stone.” Martha, the sister of him who was dead, said to him, “ Lord, by this time there is a stench, for he has been dead four days.”Jesus saith, Take ye away the stone. Martha, the sister of him that was dead, saith unto him, Lord, by this time the body decayeth; for he hath been dead four days.

Jesus said to her, “Didn’ t I tell you that if you believed, you would see God’s glory?”Jesus saith unto her, Said I not unto thee, that, if thou believedst, thou shouldest see the glory of God?

So they took away the stone from the place where the dead man was lying. Jesus lifted up his eyes and said, “ Father, I thank you that you listened to me.So they took away the stone. And Jesus lifted up his eyes, and said, Father, I thank thee that thou heardest me.

I know that you always listen to me, but because of the multitude standing around I said this, that they may believe that you sent me.”And I knew that thou hearest me always: but because of the multitude that standeth around I said it, that they may believe that thou didst send me.

When he had said this, he cried with a loud voice, “ Lazarus, come out!”And when he had thus spoken, he cried with a loud voice, Lazarus, come forth.

He who was dead came out, bound hand and foot with wrappings, and his face was wrapped around with a cloth. Jesus said to them, “ Free him, and let him go.”He that was dead came forth, bound hand and foot with grave-clothes; and his face was bound about with a napkin. Jesus saith unto them, Loose him, and let him go.

Therefore many of the Jews who came to Mary and saw what Jesus did believed in him. Many therefore of the Jews, who came to Mary and beheld that which he did, believed on him.

But some of them went away to the Pharisees and told them the things which Jesus had done. But some of them went away to the Pharisees, and told them the things which Jesus had done.

The chief priests therefore and the Pharisees gathered a council, and said, “ What are we doing? For this man does many signs. The chief priests therefore and the Pharisees gathered a council, and said, What do we? for this man doeth many signs.

If we leave him alone like this, everyone will believe in him, and the Romans will come and take away both our place and our nation.”If we let him thus alone, all men will believe on him: and the Romans will come and take away both our place and our nation.

But a certain one of them, Caiaphas, being high priest that year, said to them, “ You know nothing at all,But a certain one of them, Caiaphas, being high priest that year, said unto them, Ye know nothing at all,그런데 그들 중 하나인 그해의 대제사장 가야바가 그들에게 말했습니다.

nor do you consider that it is advantageous for us that one man should die for the people, and that the whole nation not perish.”nor do ye take account that it is expedient for you that one man should die for the people, and that the whole nation perish not.

Now he didn’ t say this of himself, but being high priest that year, he prophesied that Jesus would die for the nation,Now this he said not of himself: but being high priest that year, he prophesied that Jesus should die for the nation;그가 이 말을 스스로 한 것이 아니라, 그해의 대제사장이었기에 예수께서 그 민족을 위하여 죽으시리라는 것을 예언한 것입니다.

and not for the nation only, but that he might also gather together into one the children of God who are scattered abroad.and not for the nation only, but that he might also gather together into one the children of God that are scattered abroad.

So from that day forward they took counsel that they might put him to death. So from that day forth they took counsel that they might put him to death.

Jesus therefore walked no more openly among the Jews, but departed from there into the country near the wilderness, to a city called Ephraim. He stayed there with his disciples.Jesus therefore walked no more openly among the Jews, but departed thence into the country near to the wilderness, into a city called Ephraim; and there he tarried with the disciples.

Now the Passover of the Jews was at hand. Many went up from the country to Jerusalem before the Passover, to purify themselves. Now the passover of the Jews was at hand: and many went up to Jerusalem out of the country before the passover, to purify themselves.

Then they sought for Jesus and spoke with one another as they stood in the temple, “ What do you think — that he isn’ t coming to the feast at all?”They sought therefore for Jesus, and spake one with another, as they stood in the temple, What think ye? That he will not come to the feast?

Now the chief priests and the Pharisees had commanded that if anyone knew where he was, he should report it, that they might seize him.Now the chief priests and the Pharisees had given commandment, that, if any man knew where he was, he should show it, that they might take him.
