As he passed by, he saw a man blind from birth. And as he passed by, he saw a man blind from his birth.
His disciples asked him, “ Rabbi, who sinned, this man or his parents, that he was born blind?”And his disciples asked him, saying, Rabbi, who sinned, this man, or his parents, that he should be born blind?
Jesus answered, “ This man didn’ t sin, nor did his parents, but that the works of God might be revealed in him.Jesus answered, Neither did this man sin, nor his parents: but that the works of God should be made manifest in him.
I must work the works of him who sent me while it is day. The night is coming, when no one can work.We must work the works of him that sent me, while it is day: the night cometh, when no man can work.
While I am in the world, I am the light of the world.”When I am in the world, I am the light of the world.
When he had said this, he spat on the ground, made mud with the saliva, anointed the blind man’s eyes with the mud,When he had thus spoken, he spat on the ground, and made clay of the spittle, and anointed his eyes with the clay,이렇게 말씀하시고 나서, 예수께서 땅에 침을 뱉어 그 침으로 진흙을 만드시고, 그 진흙을 눈먼 사람의 눈에 바르셨다.
and said to him, “ Go, wash in the pool of Siloam” ( which means “ Sent”). So he went away, washed, and came back seeing.and said unto him, Go, wash in the pool of Siloam ( which is by interpretation, Sent ). He went away therefore, and washed, and came seeing.
Therefore the neighbors and those who saw that he was blind before said, “Isn’ t this he who sat and begged?”The neighbors therefore, and they that saw him aforetime, that he was a beggar, said, Is not this he that sat and begged?
Others were saying, “ It is he.” Still others were saying, “ He looks like him.” He said, “ I am he.”Others said, It is he: others said, No, but he is like him. He said, I am he.
They therefore were asking him, “ How were your eyes opened?”They said therefore unto him, How then were thine eyes opened?
He answered, “ A man called Jesus made mud, anointed my eyes, and said to me, ‘ Go to the pool of Siloam and wash.’ So I went away and washed, and I received sight.”He answered, The man that is called Jesus made clay, and anointed mine eyes, and said unto me, Go to Siloam, and wash: so I went away and washed, and I received sight.
Then they asked him, “ Where is he?” He said, “ I don’t know.”And they said unto him, Where is he? He saith, I know not.
They brought him who had been blind to the Pharisees. They bring to the Pharisees him that aforetime was blind.
It was a Sabbath when Jesus made the mud and opened his eyes. Now it was the sabbath on the day when Jesus made the clay, and opened his eyes.
Again therefore the Pharisees also asked him how he received his sight. He said to them, “ He put mud on my eyes, I washed, and I see.”Again therefore the Pharisees also asked him how he received his sight. And he said unto them, He put clay upon mine eyes, and I washed, and I see.
Some therefore of the Pharisees said, “ This man is not from God, because he doesn’ t keep the Sabbath.” Others said, “ How can a man who is a sinner do such signs?” So there was division among them. Some therefore of the Pharisees said, This man is not from God, because he keepeth not the sabbath. But others said, How can a man that is a sinner do such signs? And there was a division among them.
Therefore they asked the blind man again, “ What do you say about him, because he opened your eyes?” He said, “ He is a prophet.”They say therefore unto the blind man again, What sayest thou of him, in that he opened thine eyes? And he said, He is a prophet.
The Jews therefore didn’ t believe concerning him, that he had been blind and had received his sight, until they called the parents of him who had received his sight,The Jews therefore did not believe concerning him, that he had been blind, and had received his sight, until they called the parents of him that had received his sight,유대 사람들은 그가 눈먼 사람이었다가 보게 되었다는 사실을 믿지 않았다.
and asked them, “ Is this your son, whom you say was born blind? How then does he now see?”and asked them, saying, Is this your son, who ye say was born blind? how then doth he now see?
His parents answered them, “ We know that this is our son, and that he was born blind; His parents answered and said, We know that this is our son, and that he was born blind:그의 부모가 대답했다.
but how he now sees, we don’ t know; or who opened his eyes, we don’ t know. He is of age. Ask him. He will speak for himself.”but how he now seeth, we know not; or who opened his eyes, we know not: ask him; he is of age; he shall speak for himself.
His parents said these things because they feared the Jews; for the Jews had already agreed that if any man would confess him as Christ, he would be put out of the synagogue. These things said his parents, because they feared the Jews: for the Jews had agreed already, that if any man should confess him to be Christ, he should be put out of the synagogue.
Therefore his parents said, “ He is of age. Ask him.”Therefore said his parents, He is of age; ask him.
So they called the man who was blind a second time, and said to him, “ Give glory to God. We know that this man is a sinner.”So they called a second time the man that was blind, and said unto him, Give glory to God: we know that this man is a sinner.
He therefore answered, “ I don’t know if he is a sinner. One thing I do know: that though I was blind, now I see.”He therefore answered, Whether he is a sinner, I know not: one thing I know, that, whereas I was blind, now I see.
They said to him again, “ What did he do to you? How did he open your eyes?”They said therefore unto him, What did he to thee? how opened he thine eyes?
He answered them, “ I told you already, and you didn’t listen. Why do you want to hear it again? You don’t also want to become his disciples, do you?”He answered them, I told you even now, and ye did not hear; wherefore would ye hear it again? would ye also become his disciples?
They insulted him and said, “ You are his disciple, but we are disciples of Moses. And they reviled him, and said, Thou art his disciple; but we are disciples of Moses.
We know that God has spoken to Moses. But as for this man, we don’ t know where he comes from.”We know that God hath spoken unto Moses: but as for this man, we know not whence he is.
The man answered them, “ How amazing! You don’ t know where he comes from, yet he opened my eyes. The man answered and said unto them, Why, herein is the marvel, that ye know not whence he is, and yet he opened mine eyes.
We know that God doesn’ t listen to sinners, but if anyone is a worshiper of God and does his will, he listens to him.We know that God heareth not sinners: but if any man be a worshipper of God, and do his will, him he heareth.
Since the world began it has never been heard of that anyone opened the eyes of someone born blind.Since the world began it was never heard that any one opened the eyes of a man born blind.
If this man were not from God, he could do nothing.”If this man were not from God, he could do nothing.
They answered him, “ You were altogether born in sins, and do you teach us?” Then they threw him out. They answered and said unto him, Thou wast altogether born in sins, and dost thou teach us? And they cast him out.
Jesus heard that they had thrown him out, and finding him, he said, “ Do you believe in the Son of God?”Jesus heard that they had cast him out; and finding him, he said, Dost thou believe on the Son of God?
He answered, “ Who is he, Lord, that I may believe in him?”He answered and said, And who is he, Lord, that I may believe on him?
Jesus said to him, “ You have both seen him, and it is he who speaks with you.”Jesus said unto him, Thou hast both seen him, and he it is that speaketh with thee.
He said, “ Lord, I believe!” and he worshiped him.And he said, Lord, I believe. And he worshipped him.
Jesus said, “ I came into this world for judgment, that those who don’ t see may see; and that those who see may become blind.”And Jesus said, For judgment came I into this world, that they that see not may see; and that they that see may become blind.
Those of the Pharisees who were with him heard these things, and said to him, “ Are we also blind?”Those of the Pharisees who were with him heard these things, and said unto him, Are we also blind?
Jesus said to them, “ If you were blind, you would have no sin; but now you say, ‘ We see.’ Therefore your sin remains.Jesus said unto them, If ye were blind, ye would have no sin: but now ye say, We see: your sin remaineth.
