1 Therefore, seeing we have this ministry, even as we obtained mercy, we don’ t faint.Therefore seeing we have this ministry, even as we obtained mercy, we faint not:그러므로 우리가 긍휼을 입어 이 직분을 맡았으니, 우리는 낙심하지 않습니다.
2 But we have renounced the hidden things of shame, not walking in craftiness nor handling the word of God deceitfully, but by the manifestation of the truth commending ourselves to every man’s conscience in the sight of God.but we have renounced the hidden things of shame, not walking in craftiness, nor handling the word of God deceitfully; but by the manifestation of the truth commending ourselves to every man’s conscience in the sight of God.오히려 우리는 부끄러워 숨기는 일들을 버리고, 속임수로 행하지 않으며 하나님의 말씀을 거짓되게 다루지 않고, 진리를 드러냄으로써 하나님 앞에서 모든 사람의 양심에 우리 자신을 추천합니다.
3 Even if our Good News is veiled, it is veiled in those who are dying,And even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled in them that perish:그러나 우리의 복음이 가려져 있다면, 그것은 멸망하는 자들에게 가려진 것입니다.
4 in whom the god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelieving, that the light of the Good News of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God, should not dawn on them.in whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of the unbelieving, that the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God, should not dawn upon them.그들 가운데서 이 세상의 신이 믿지 않는 자들의 마음을 어둡게 하여, 하나님의 형상이신 그리스도의 영광의 복음의 빛이 그들에게 비치지 못하게 하였습니다.
5 For we don’t preach ourselves, but Christ Jesus as Lord, and ourselves as your servants for Jesus’ sake,For we preach not ourselves, but Christ Jesus as Lord, and ourselves as your servants for Jesus’ sake.우리는 우리 자신을 전하는 것이 아니라 그리스도 예수를 주로 전하며, 우리 자신은 예수를 위하여 여러분의 종이 된 것입니다.
6 seeing it is God who said, “ Light will shine out of darkness,” who has shone in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.Seeing it is God, that said, Light shall shine out of darkness, who shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ."어둠 속에서 빛이 비치라" 하고 말씀하신 하나님께서, 예수 그리스도의 얼굴에 있는 하나님의 영광을 아는 빛을 주시려고 우리 마음에 비추셨습니다.
7 But we have this treasure in clay vessels, that the exceeding greatness of the power may be of God and not from ourselves.But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the exceeding greatness of the power may be of God, and not from ourselves;그러나 우리는 이 보물을 질그릇에 담고 있으니, 이는 그 넘치는 능력이 하나님께로부터 난 것이지 우리에게서 난 것이 아님을 보이려는 것입니다.
8 We are pressed on every side, yet not crushed; perplexed, yet not to despair;we are pressed on every side, yet not straitened; perplexed, yet not unto despair;우리는 사방으로 눌려도 짓눌리지 않고, 답답한 일을 당해도 절망하지 않으며,
9 pursued, yet not forsaken; struck down, yet not destroyed;pursued, yet not forsaken; smitten down, yet not destroyed;박해를 받아도 버림받지 않고, 거꾸러뜨림을 당해도 망하지 않습니다.
10 always carrying in the body the putting to death of the Lord Jesus, that the life of Jesus may also be revealed in our body.always bearing about in the body the dying of Jesus, that the life also of Jesus may be manifested in our body.우리는 언제나 예수의 죽으심을 몸에 짊어지고 다니니, 이는 예수의 생명도 우리 몸에 나타나게 하려는 것입니다.
11 For we who live are always delivered to death for Jesus’ sake, that the life also of Jesus may be revealed in our mortal flesh.For we who live are always delivered unto death for Jesus’ sake, that the life also of Jesus may be manifested in our mortal flesh.살아 있는 우리가 항상 예수를 위하여 죽음에 넘겨지니, 이는 예수의 생명도 우리의 죽을 육신에 나타나게 하려는 것입니다.
12 So then death works in us, but life in you.So then death worketh in us, but life in you.그러므로 죽음은 우리 안에서 일하고, 생명은 여러분 안에서 일합니다.
13 But having the same spirit of faith, according to that which is written, “ I believed, and therefore I spoke.” We also believe, and therefore we also speak,But having the same spirit of faith, according to that which is written, I believed, and therefore did I speak; we also believe, and therefore also we speak;"내가 믿었으므로 말하였다" 하고 기록된 대로 우리도 같은 믿음의 영을 가졌으니, 우리도 믿으므로 또한 말합니다.
14 knowing that he who raised the Lord Jesus will raise us also through Jesus, and will present us with you.knowing that he that raised up the Lord Jesus shall raise up us also with Jesus, and shall present us with you.우리는 주 예수를 살리신 분께서 우리도 예수와 함께 살리시고, 여러분과 함께 우리를 세우실 것을 압니다.
15 For all things are for your sakes, that the grace, being multiplied through the many, may cause the thanksgiving to abound to the glory of God.For all things are for your sakes, that the grace, being multiplied through the many, may cause the thanksgiving to abound unto the glory of God.이 모든 것은 여러분을 위한 것이니, 이는 은혜가 많은 사람을 통하여 더하여져서 감사가 넘쳐 하나님께 영광이 되게 하려는 것입니다.
16 Therefore we don’ t faint, but though our outward person is decaying, yet our inward person is renewed day by day.Wherefore we faint not; but though our outward man is decaying, yet our inward man is renewed day by day.그러므로 우리는 낙심하지 않습니다. 비록 우리의 겉사람은 낡아가도, 우리의 속사람은 날마다 새로워집니다.
17 For our light affliction, which is for the moment, works for us more and more exceedingly an eternal weight of glory,For our light affliction, which is for the moment, worketh for us more and more exceedingly an eternal weight of glory;잠시 받는 우리의 가벼운 환난은 우리에게 비교할 수 없이 크고 영원한 영광의 무게를 이루어 줍니다.
18 while we don’ t look at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen. For the things which are seen are temporal, but the things which are not seen are eternal.while we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.우리는 보이는 것을 바라보지 않고 보이지 않는 것을 바라봅니다. 보이는 것은 잠깐이지만, 보이지 않는 것은 영원하기 때문입니다.
