Paul, an apostle of Christ Jesus through the will of God, and Timothy our brother, to the assembly of God which is at Corinth, with all the saints who are in the whole of Achaia:Paul, an apostle of Christ Jesus through the will of God, and Timothy our brother, unto the church of God which is at Corinth, with all the saints that are in the whole of Achaia:하나님의 뜻을 따라 그리스도 예수의 사도가 된 바울과 우리 형제 디모데는, 고린도에 있는 하나님의 교회와 온 아가야에 있는 모든 성도에게 편지합니다.
Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort,Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort;우리 주 예수 그리스도의 하나님이시며 아버지, 곧 긍휼의 아버지시요 모든 위로의 하나님께 찬송을 드립니다.
who comforts us in all our affliction, that we may be able to comfort those who are in any affliction, through the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God.who comforteth us in all our affliction, that we may be able to comfort them that are in any affliction, through the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God.
For as the sufferings of Christ abound to us, even so our comfort also abounds through Christ. For as the sufferings of Christ abound unto us, even so our comfort also aboundeth through Christ.
But if we are afflicted, it is for your comfort and salvation. If we are comforted, it is for your comfort, which produces in you the patient enduring of the same sufferings which we also suffer. But whether we are afflicted, it is for your comfort and salvation; or whether we are comforted, it is for your comfort, which worketh in the patient enduring of the same sufferings which we also suffer:우리가 환난을 당하는 것도 여러분의 위로와 구원을 위한 것이요, 우리가 위로를 받는 것도 여러분의 위로를 위한 것입니다.
Our hope for you is steadfast, knowing that, since you are partakers of the sufferings, so you are also of the comfort.and our hope for you is stedfast; knowing that, as ye are partakers of the sufferings, so also are ye of the comfort.
For we don’ t desire to have you uninformed, brothers, concerning our affliction which happened to us in Asia: that we were weighed down exceedingly, beyond our power, so much that we despaired even of life. For we would not have you ignorant, brethren, concerning our affliction which befell us in Asia, that we were weighed down exceedingly, beyond our power, insomuch that we despaired even of life:형제 여러분, 우리가 아시아에서 당한 환난에 대해 여러분이 모르기를 원하지 않습니다.
Yes, we ourselves have had the sentence of death within ourselves, that we should not trust in ourselves, but in God who raises the dead, yea, we ourselves have had the sentence of death within ourselves, that we should not trust in ourselves, but in God who raiseth the dead:우리 자신이 사형 선고를 받은 것 같았습니다.
who delivered us out of so great a death, and does deliver, on whom we have set our hope that he will also still deliver us,who delivered us out of so great a death, and will deliver: on whom we have set our hope that he will also still deliver us;하나님은 그렇게 큰 죽음의 위험에서 우리를 건져 주셨고, 지금도 건져 주십니다.
you also helping together on our behalf by your supplication; that, for the gift given to us by means of many, thanks may be given by many persons on your behalf.ye also helping together on our behalf by your supplication; that, for the gift bestowed upon us by means of many, thanks may be given by many persons on our behalf.
For our boasting is this: the testimony of our conscience that in holiness and sincerity of God, not in fleshly wisdom but in the grace of God, we behaved ourselves in the world, and more abundantly toward you.For our glorying is this, the testimony of our conscience, that in holiness and sincerity of God, not in fleshly wisdom but in the grace of God, we behaved ourselves in the world, and more abundantly to you-ward.
For we write no other things to you than what you read or even acknowledge, and I hope you will acknowledge to the end —For we write no other things unto you, than what ye read or even acknowledge, and I hope ye will acknowledge unto the end:우리가 여러분에게 쓰는 것은 여러분이 읽고 또 깨닫는 그 내용뿐이며, 다른 것이 아닙니다.
as also you acknowledged us in part — that we are your boasting, even as you also are ours, in the day of our Lord Jesus.as also ye did acknowledge us in part, that we are your glorying, even as ye also are ours, in the day of our Lord Jesus.
In this confidence, I was determined to come first to you, that you might have a second benefit,And in this confidence I was minded to come first unto you, that ye might have a second benefit;나는 이런 확신을 가지고, 여러분이 두 번 은혜를 받게 하려고 먼저 여러분에게 가려고 했습니다.
and by you to pass into Macedonia, and again from Macedonia to come to you, and to be sent forward by you on my journey to Judea.and by you to pass into Macedonia, and again from Macedonia to come unto you, and of you to be set forward on my journey unto Judæa.
When I therefore planned this, did I show fickleness? Or the things that I plan, do I plan according to the flesh, that with me there should be the “ Yes, yes” and the “ No, no?”When I therefore was thus minded, did I show fickleness? or the things that I purpose, do I purpose according to the flesh, that with me there should be the yea yea and the nay nay?
But as God is faithful, our word toward you was not “ Yes and no.”But as God is faithful, our word toward you is not yea and nay.
For the Son of God, Jesus Christ, who was preached among you by us — by me, Silvanus, and Timothy — was not “ Yes and no,” but in him is “ Yes.”For the Son of God, Jesus Christ, who was preached among you by us, even by me and Silvanus and Timothy, was not yea and nay, but in him is yea.
For however many are the promises of God, in him is the “ Yes.” Therefore also through him is the “Amen”, to the glory of God through us.For how many soever be the promises of God, in him is the yea: wherefore also through him is the Amen, unto the glory of God through us.
Now he who establishes us with you in Christ and anointed us is God,Now he that establisheth us with you in Christ, and anointed us, is God;
who also sealed us and gave us the down payment of the Spirit in our hearts.who also sealed us, and gave us the earnest of the Spirit in our hearts.
But I call God for a witness to my soul, that to spare you, I didn’ t come to Corinth. But I call God for a witness upon my soul, that to spare you I forbare to come unto Corinth.
We don’ t control your faith, but are fellow workers with you for your joy. For you stand firm in faith. Not that we have lordship over your faith, but are helpers of your joy: for in faith ye stand fast.
