1 “ Listen to this, you priests! Listen, house of Israel, and give ear, house of the king! For the judgment is against you; for you have been a snare at Mizpah, and a net spread on Tabor.Hear this, O ye priests, and hearken, O house of Israel, and give ear, O house of the king; for unto you pertaineth the judgment; for ye have been a snare at Mizpah, and a net spread upon Tabor.제사장들아, 이 말을 들어라! 이스라엘 백성아, 귀를 기울여라! 왕의 집안도 들어라! 심판이 너희를 향한 것이다. 너희가 미스바에서 올무가 되었고, 다볼 산에 펼쳐 놓은 그물이 되었기 때문이다.
2 The rebels are deep in slaughter, but I discipline all of them.And the revolters are gone deep in making slaughter; but I am a rebuker of them all.반역한 자들이 살육에 깊이 빠져 있다. 그러나 내가 그들 모두를 징계하겠다.
3 I know Ephraim, and Israel is not hidden from me; for now, Ephraim, you have played the prostitute. Israel is defiled.I know Ephraim, and Israel is not hid from me; for now, O Ephraim, thou hast played the harlot, Israel is defiled.내가 에브라임을 알고, 이스라엘도 내게 숨겨지지 않는다. 에브라임아, 이제 네가 음행을 저질렀고, 이스라엘이 더럽혀졌다.
4 Their deeds won’t allow them to turn to their God, for the spirit of prostitution is within them, and they don’t know Yahweh.Their doings will not suffer them to turn unto their God; for the spirit of whoredom is within them, and they know not Jehovah.그들의 행실이 그들을 하나님께 돌아오지 못하게 한다. 음행의 영이 그들 속에 있어서, 그들이 여호와를 알지 못하기 때문이다.
5 The pride of Israel testifies to his face. Therefore Israel and Ephraim will stumble in their iniquity. Judah also will stumble with them.And the pride of Israel doth testify to his face: therefore Israel and Ephraim shall stumble in their iniquity; Judah also shall stumble with them.이스라엘의 교만이 그 얼굴에 대고 그를 고발한다. 그러므로 이스라엘과 에브라임이 자기 죄로 인하여 넘어지고, 유다도 그들과 함께 넘어질 것이다.
6 They will go with their flocks and with their herds to seek Yahweh, but they won’t find him. He has withdrawn himself from them.They shall go with their flocks and with their herds to seek Jehovah; but they shall not find him: he hath withdrawn himself from them.그들이 양 떼와 소 떼를 끌고 가서 여호와를 찾겠지만, 만나지 못할 것이다. 그분께서 그들에게서 물러나셨기 때문이다.
7 They are unfaithful to Yahweh; for they have borne illegitimate children. Now the new moon will devour them with their fields.They have dealt treacherously against Jehovah; for they have borne strange children: now shall the new moon devour them with their fields.그들이 여호와께 신실하지 못하여 사생아를 낳았다. 이제 초하루 절기가 그들과 그들의 밭을 삼켜 버릴 것이다.
8 “ Blow the cornet in Gibeah, and the trumpet in Ramah! Sound a battle cry at Beth Aven, behind you, Benjamin!Blow ye the cornet in Gibeah, and the trumpet in Ramah: sound an alarm at Beth-aven; behind thee, O Benjamin.기브아에서 뿔나팔을 불고, 라마에서 나팔을 불어라! 벧아웬에서 전쟁의 함성을 외쳐라! 베냐민아, 네 뒤를 조심하라!
9 Ephraim will become a desolation in the day of rebuke. Among the tribes of Israel, I have made known that which will surely be.Ephraim shall become a desolation in the day of rebuke: among the tribes of Israel have I made known that which shall surely be.책망의 날에 에브라임이 황무지가 될 것이다. 이스라엘 지파들 가운데 반드시 일어날 일을 내가 알린다.
10 The princes of Judah are like those who remove a landmark. I will pour out my wrath on them like water.The princes of Judah are like them that remove the landmark: I will pour out my wrath upon them like water.유다의 지도자들은 경계표를 옮기는 자들과 같다. 내가 그들 위에 내 진노를 물처럼 쏟아붓겠다.
11 Ephraim is oppressed, he is crushed in judgment, because he is intent in his pursuit of idols.Ephraim is oppressed, he is crushed in judgment; because he was content to walk after man’s command.에브라임이 짓밟히고 심판 가운데 부서졌다. 그가 우상을 좇기에 몰두하였기 때문이다.
12 Therefore I am to Ephraim like a moth, and to the house of Judah like rottenness.Therefore am I unto Ephraim as a moth, and to the house of Judah as rottenness.그러므로 나는 에브라임에게 좀 같고, 유다 집안에게 썩은 것 같다.
13 “ When Ephraim saw his sickness, and Judah his wound, then Ephraim went to Assyria, and sent to King Jareb: but he is not able to heal you, neither will he cure you of your wound.When Ephraim saw his sickness, and Judah saw his wound, then went Ephraim to Assyria, and sent to king Jareb: but he is not able to heal you, neither will he cure you of your wound.에브라임이 자기 병을 보고, 유다가 자기 상처를 보았을 때, 에브라임이 앗수르로 가서 야렙 왕에게 도움을 청하였다. 그러나 그는 너희를 고칠 수 없고, 너희 상처를 치료하지도 못한다.
14 For I will be to Ephraim like a lion, and like a young lion to the house of Judah. I myself will tear in pieces and go away. I will carry off, and there will be no one to deliver.For I will be unto Ephraim as a lion, and as a young lion to the house of Judah: I, even I, will tear and go away; I will carry off, and there shall be none to deliver.내가 에브라임에게 사자 같고, 유다 집안에게 젊은 사자 같을 것이다. 바로 내가 찢어 버리고 떠나가며, 물어 가도 구해 낼 자가 없을 것이다.
15 I will go and return to my place, until they acknowledge their offense, and seek my face. In their affliction they will seek me earnestly.”I will go and return to my place, till they acknowledge their offence, and seek my face: in their affliction they will seek me earnestly.그들이 자기 죄를 인정하고 내 얼굴을 찾을 때까지, 내가 내 처소로 돌아가 있겠다. 그들이 환난을 당하면 간절히 나를 찾을 것이다.
