1 I said, “ Please listen, you heads of Jacob, and rulers of the house of Israel: Isn’t it for you to know justice?And I said, Hear, I pray you, ye heads of Jacob, and rulers of the house of Israel: is it not for you to know justice?내가 말하였다. "야곱의 지도자들과 이스라엘 집의 통치자들아, 부디 들으라. 공의를 아는 것이 너희가 마땅히 할 일이 아니냐?
2 You who hate the good, and love the evil; who tear off their skin, and their flesh from off their bones;ye who hate the good, and love the evil; who pluck off their skin from off them, and their flesh from off their bones;너희는 선한 것을 미워하고 악한 것을 사랑하며, 사람들의 살가죽을 벗기고 그 뼈에서 살을 발라내는구나.
3 who also eat the flesh of my people, and peel their skin from off them, and break their bones, and chop them in pieces, as for the pot, and as meat within the cauldron.who also eat the flesh of my people, and flay their skin from off them, and break their bones, and chop them in pieces, as for the pot, and as flesh within the caldron.너희는 또 내 백성의 살을 먹고 그 가죽을 벗기며 그 뼈를 꺾고 토막을 내니, 마치 솥에 넣을 고기처럼, 가마솥 안에 담을 살점처럼 다루는구나.
4 Then they will cry to Yahweh, but he will not answer them. Yes, he will hide his face from them at that time, because they made their deeds evil.”Then shall they cry unto Jehovah, but he will not answer them; yea, he will hide his face from them at that time, according as they have wrought evil in their doings.그때에 그들이 여호와께 부르짖어도 그분은 응답하지 않으시리라. 그들이 악한 일을 행하였으므로, 그때에 그분은 그들에게서 얼굴을 숨기시리라."
5 Yahweh says concerning the prophets who lead my people astray — for those who feed their teeth, they proclaim, “ Peace!” and whoever doesn’t provide for their mouths, they prepare war against him:Thus saith Jehovah concerning the prophets that make my people to err; that bite with their teeth, and cry, Peace; and whoso putteth not into their mouths, they even prepare war against him:내 백성을 잘못된 길로 이끄는 선지자들을 두고 여호와께서 이렇게 말씀하신다. 그들은 먹을 것을 주는 자에게는 "평안하다!" 외치고, 자기 입에 무엇을 채워 주지 않는 자에게는 그를 칠 전쟁을 준비하는구나.
6 “ Therefore night is over you, with no vision, and it is dark to you, that you may not divine; and the sun will go down on the prophets, and the day will be black over them.Therefore it shall be night unto you, that ye shall have no vision; and it shall be dark unto you, that ye shall not divine; and the sun shall go down upon the prophets, and the day shall be black over them."그러므로 너희에게는 밤이 닥쳐 환상을 보지 못하고, 어둠이 덮쳐 점을 치지 못하리라. 해는 그 선지자들 위에서 지고, 낮은 그들 위에서 캄캄해지리라.
7 The seers shall be disappointed, and the diviners confounded. Yes, they shall all cover their lips, for there is no answer from God.”And the seers shall be put to shame, and the diviners confounded; yea, they shall all cover their lips; for there is no answer of God.환상을 보던 자들은 부끄러움을 당하고 점치던 자들은 수치를 당하리니, 하나님께로부터 아무 응답이 없으므로 그들이 다 입을 가리리라."
8 But as for me, I am full of power by Yahweh’s Spirit, and of judgment, and of might, to declare to Jacob his disobedience, and to Israel his sin.But as for me, I am full of power by the Spirit of Jehovah, and of judgment, and of might, to declare unto Jacob his transgression, and to Israel his sin.그러나 나로 말하면, 나는 여호와의 영으로 능력과 공의와 힘이 충만하여, 야곱에게 그의 거역함을, 이스라엘에게 그의 죄를 선포하노라.
9 Please listen to this, you heads of the house of Jacob, and rulers of the house of Israel, who abhor justice, and pervert all equity,Hear this, I pray you, ye heads of the house of Jacob, and rulers of the house of Israel, that abhor justice, and pervert all equity.공의를 미워하고 모든 바른 것을 굽게 하는 야곱 집의 지도자들과 이스라엘 집의 통치자들아, 부디 이 말을 들으라.
10 who build up Zion with blood, and Jerusalem with iniquity.They build up Zion with blood, and Jerusalem with iniquity.그들은 피로 시온을 세우고 불의로 예루살렘을 쌓는구나.
11 Her leaders judge for bribes, and her priests teach for a price, and her prophets of it tell fortunes for money; yet they lean on Yahweh, and say, “Isn’t Yahweh among us? No disaster will come on us.”The heads thereof judge for reward, and the priests thereof teach for hire, and the prophets thereof divine for money: yet they lean upon Jehovah, and say, Is not Jehovah in the midst of us? no evil shall come upon us.그 지도자들은 뇌물을 받고 재판하며, 그 제사장들은 삯을 받고 가르치며, 그 선지자들은 돈을 위해 점을 치면서도, 여호와를 의지한다며 "여호와께서 우리 가운데 계시지 않느냐? 재앙이 우리에게 닥치지 않으리라" 말하는구나.
12 Therefore Zion for your sake will be plowed like a field, and Jerusalem will become heaps of rubble, and the mountain of the temple like the high places of a forest.Therefore shall Zion for your sake be plowed as a field, and Jerusalem shall become heaps, and the mountain of the house as the high places of a forest.그러므로 너희 때문에 시온은 밭처럼 갈아엎어지고, 예루살렘은 폐허 더미가 되며, 성전이 있는 산은 숲의 산당처럼 되리라.
