For this Melchizedek, king of Salem, priest of God Most High, who met Abraham returning from the slaughter of the kings and blessed him,For this Melchizedek, king of Salem, priest of God Most High, who met Abraham returning from the slaughter of the kings and blessed him,이 멜기세덱은 살렘 왕이요 지극히 높으신 하나님의 제사장이었습니다.
to whom also Abraham divided a tenth part of all ( being first, by interpretation, “king of righteousness”, and then also “king of Salem”, which means “king of peace”,to whom also Abraham divided a tenth part of all ( being first, by interpretation, King of righteousness, and then also King of Salem, which is, King of peace;아브라함은 모든 전리품의 십분의 일을 그에게 나누어 주었습니다.
without father, without mother, without genealogy, having neither beginning of days nor end of life, but made like the Son of God ), remains a priest continually.without father, without mother, without genealogy, having neither beginning of days nor end of life, but made like unto the Son of God ), abideth a priest continually.
Now consider how great this man was, to whom even Abraham the patriarch gave a tenth out of the best plunder. Now consider how great this man was, unto whom Abraham, the patriarch, gave a tenth out of the chief spoils.
They indeed of the sons of Levi who receive the priest’ s office have a commandment to take tithes from the people according to the law, that is, of their brothers, though these have come out of the body of Abraham,And they indeed of the sons of Levi that receive the priest’ s office have commandment to take tithes of the people according to the law, that is, of their brethren, though these have come out of the loins of Abraham:레위의 자손 가운데 제사장 직분을 받은 이들은 율법에 따라 백성에게서, 곧 자기 형제들에게서 십일조를 받으라는 명령을 가지고 있습니다.
but he whose genealogy is not counted from them has accepted tithes from Abraham, and has blessed him who has the promises.but he whose genealogy is not counted from them hath taken tithes of Abraham, and hath blessed him that hath the promises.
But without any dispute the lesser is blessed by the greater. But without any dispute the less is blessed of the better.
Here people who die receive tithes, but there one receives tithes of whom it is testified that he lives. And here men that die receive tithes; but there one, of whom it is witnessed that he liveth.
We can say that through Abraham even Levi, who receives tithes, has paid tithes,And, so to say, through Abraham even Levi, who receiveth tithes, hath paid tithes;또한 말하자면, 십일조를 받는 레위까지도 아브라함을 통하여 십일조를 바친 셈입니다.
for he was yet in the body of his father when Melchizedek met him.for he was yet in the loins of his father, when Melchizedek met him.
Now if perfection was through the Levitical priesthood ( for under it the people have received the law ), what further need was there for another priest to arise after the order of Melchizedek, and not be called after the order of Aaron? Now if there was perfection through the Levitical priesthood ( for under it hath the people received the law ), what further need was there that another priest should arise after the order of Melchizedek, and not be reckoned after the order of Aaron?
For the priesthood being changed, there is of necessity a change made also in the law.For the priesthood being changed, there is made of necessity a change also of the law.
For he of whom these things are said belongs to another tribe, from which no one has officiated at the altar. For he of whom these things are said belongeth to another tribe, from which no man hath given attendance at the altar.
For it is evident that our Lord has sprung out of Judah, about which tribe Moses spoke nothing concerning priesthood. For it is evident that our Lord hath sprung out of Judah; as to which tribe Moses spake nothing concerning priests.
This is yet more abundantly evident, if after the likeness of Melchizedek there arises another priest,And what we say is yet more abundantly evident, if after the likeness of Melchizedek there ariseth another priest,멜기세덱과 같은 또 다른 제사장이 일어나신다면 이 사실은 더욱 분명해집니다.
who has been made, not after the law of a fleshly commandment, but after the power of an endless life;who hath been made, not after the law of a carnal commandment, but after the power of an endless life:그분은 육신에 관한 명령의 율법을 따라서가 아니라, 끝없는 생명의 능력을 따라 제사장이 되셨습니다.
for it is testified, “ You are a priest forever, according to the order of Melchizedek.”for it is witnessed of him, Thou art a priest for ever After the order of Melchizedek."
For there is an annulling of a foregoing commandment because of its weakness and uselessnessFor there is a disannulling of a foregoing commandment because of its weakness and unprofitableness이로써 앞서 있던 명령은 약하고 쓸모없으므로 폐지되고,
( for the law made nothing perfect ), and a bringing in of a better hope, through which we draw near to God.( for the law made nothing perfect ), and a bringing in thereupon of a better hope, through which we draw nigh unto God.— 율법은 아무것도 온전하게 하지 못했습니다 — 더 나은 소망이 들어왔으니, 우리는 그 소망을 통하여 하나님께 가까이 나아갑니다.
Inasmuch as he was not made priest without the taking of an oathAnd inasmuch as it is not without the taking of an oath
( for they indeed have been made priests without an oath ), but he with an oath by him that says of him, “ The Lord swore and will not change his mind, ‘ You are a priest forever, according to the order of Melchizedek.’”( for they indeed have been made priests without an oath; but he with an oath by him that saith of him, The Lord sware and will not repent himself, Thou art a priest for ever );다른 이들은 맹세 없이 제사장이 되었으나, 그분은 자기에게 이렇게 말씀하신 분의 맹세로 되셨습니다.
By so much, Jesus has become the guarantee of a better covenant.by so much also hath Jesus become the surety of a better covenant.
Many, indeed, have been made priests, because they are hindered from continuing by death. And they indeed have been made priests many in number, because that by death they are hindered from continuing:다른 제사장들은 죽음 때문에 직분을 계속 이어 가지 못하여 그 수가 많았습니다.
But he, because he lives forever, has his priesthood unchangeable.but he, because he abideth for ever, hath his priesthood unchangeable.
Therefore he is also able to save to the uttermost those who draw near to God through him, seeing that he lives forever to make intercession for them.Wherefore also he is able to save to the uttermost them that draw near unto God through him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them.
For such a high priest was fitting for us: holy, guiltless, undefiled, separated from sinners, and made higher than the heavens; For such a high priest became us, holy, guileless, undefiled, separated from sinners, and made higher than the heavens;이런 대제사장이야말로 우리에게 합당하신 분입니다.
who doesn’ t need, like those high priests, to offer up sacrifices daily, first for his own sins, and then for the sins of the people. For he did this once for all, when he offered up himself.who needeth not daily, like those high priests, to offer up sacrifices, first for his own sins, and then for the sins of the people: for this he did once for all, when he offered up himself.
For the law appoints men as high priests who have weakness, but the word of the oath, which came after the law, appoints a Son forever who has been perfected. For the law appointeth men high priests, having infirmity; but the word of the oath, which was after the law, appointeth a Son, perfected for evermore.
