1 Now indeed even the first covenant had ordinances of divine service and an earthly sanctuary.Now even the first covenant had ordinances of divine service, and its sanctuary, a sanctuary of this world.첫 언약에도 예배를 위한 규례와 이 세상에 속한 성소가 있었습니다.
2 For a tabernacle was prepared. In the first part were the lamp stand, the table, and the show bread, which is called the Holy Place.For there was a tabernacle prepared, the first, wherein were the candlestick, and the table, and the showbread; which is called the Holy place.성막이 마련되어 있었는데, 그 첫째 칸에는 등잔대와 상과 진설병이 있었습니다. 이곳을 성소라고 부릅니다.
3 After the second veil was the tabernacle which is called the Holy of Holies,And after the second veil, the tabernacle which is called the Holy of holies;그리고 둘째 휘장 뒤에는 지성소라고 불리는 칸이 있었습니다.
4 having a golden altar of incense and the ark of the covenant overlaid on all sides with gold, in which was a golden pot holding the manna, Aaron’ s rod that budded, and the tablets of the covenant;having a golden altar of incense, and the ark of the covenant overlaid round about with gold, wherein was a golden pot holding the manna, and Aaron’ s rod that budded, and the tables of the covenant;거기에는 금으로 만든 분향단과 온 사면을 금으로 입힌 언약궤가 있었고, 그 안에는 만나를 담은 금 항아리와 싹이 난 아론의 지팡이와 언약의 돌판들이 들어 있었습니다.
5 and above it cherubim of glory overshadowing the mercy seat, of which things we can’ t speak now in detail.and above it cherubim of glory overshadowing the mercy-seat; of which things we cannot now speak severally.그 위에는 영광의 그룹들이 속죄소를 덮고 있었습니다. 그러나 이것들에 대해서는 지금 낱낱이 말할 수 없습니다.
6 Now these things having been thus prepared, the priests go in continually into the first tabernacle, accomplishing the services,Now these things having been thus prepared, the priests go in continually into the first tabernacle, accomplishing the services;이 모든 것이 이렇게 마련된 뒤에, 제사장들은 늘 첫째 성막에 들어가 예배의 직무를 수행합니다.
7 but into the second the high priest alone, once in the year, not without blood, which he offers for himself and for the errors of the people.but into the second the high priest alone, once in the year, not without blood, which he offereth for himself, and for the errors of the people:그러나 둘째 칸에는 오직 대제사장만이 일 년에 한 번 들어가는데, 반드시 피를 가지고 들어가서 자기 자신과 백성이 모르고 지은 죄를 위해 그 피를 드립니다.
8 The Holy Spirit is indicating this, that the way into the Holy Place wasn’ t yet revealed while the first tabernacle was still standing.the Holy Spirit this signifying, that the way into the holy place hath not yet been made manifest, while the first tabernacle is yet standing;성령께서 이것으로 보여 주시는 것은, 첫째 성막이 여전히 서 있는 동안에는 성소로 들어가는 길이 아직 드러나지 않았다는 것입니다.
9 This is a symbol of the present age, where gifts and sacrifices are offered that are incapable, concerning the conscience, of making the worshiper perfect,which is a figure for the time present; according to which are offered both gifts and sacrifices that cannot, as touching the conscience, make the worshipper perfect,이것은 현재의 시대를 가리키는 상징입니다. 그 시대에는 예물과 제사를 드리지만, 그것들은 예배하는 사람의 양심을 온전하게 할 수 없습니다.
10 being only ( with foods and drinks and various washings) fleshly ordinances, imposed until a time of reformation.being only ( with meats and drinks and divers washings) carnal ordinances, imposed until a time of reformation.그것들은 음식과 음료와 여러 가지 씻는 의식과 관련된 육체에 속한 규례일 뿐이며, 새롭게 고치는 때가 이르기까지만 부과된 것입니다.
11 But Christ having come as a high priest of the coming good things, through the greater and more perfect tabernacle, not made with hands, that is to say, not of this creation,But Christ having come a high priest of the good things to come, through the greater and more perfect tabernacle, not made with hands, that is to say, not of this creation,그러나 그리스도께서는 이미 이루어진 좋은 일들의 대제사장으로 오셔서, 손으로 짓지 않은, 곧 이 피조 세계에 속하지 않은 더 크고 더 온전한 성막을 통과하셨습니다.
12 nor yet through the blood of goats and calves, but through his own blood, entered in once for all into the Holy Place, having obtained eternal redemption.nor yet through the blood of goats and calves, but through his own blood, entered in once for all into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption.그분은 염소와 송아지의 피가 아니라 자기 자신의 피로, 단 한 번에 영원히 성소에 들어가셔서 영원한 구원을 이루셨습니다.
13 For if the blood of goats and bulls, and the ashes of a heifer sprinkling those who have been defiled, sanctify to the cleanness of the flesh,For if the blood of goats and bulls, and the ashes of a heifer sprinkling them that have been defiled, sanctify unto the cleanness of the flesh:염소와 황소의 피와 암송아지의 재를 더러워진 사람들에게 뿌려서 그 육체를 깨끗하게 하여 거룩하게 한다면,
14 how much more will the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without defect to God, cleanse your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?how much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without blemish unto God, cleanse your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?하물며 영원하신 성령을 통해 흠 없는 자기 자신을 하나님께 드리신 그리스도의 피가, 여러분의 양심을 죽은 행실에서 깨끗하게 하여 살아 계신 하나님을 섬기게 하지 않겠습니까?
15 For this reason he is the mediator of a new covenant, since a death has occurred for the redemption of the transgressions that were under the first covenant, that those who have been called may receive the promise of the eternal inheritance.And for this cause he is the mediator of a new covenant, that a death having taken place for the redemption of the transgressions that were under the first covenant, they that have been called may receive the promise of the eternal inheritance.이런 까닭에 그분은 새 언약의 중보자이십니다. 첫 언약 아래에서 지은 죄들을 속량하기 위해 한 죽음이 있었으니, 이는 부르심을 받은 사람들이 영원한 유업의 약속을 받게 하려는 것입니다.
16 For where a last will and testament is, there must of necessity be the death of him who made it.For where a testament is, there must of necessity be the death of him that made it.유언이 있는 곳에는 반드시 그것을 작성한 사람의 죽음이 있어야 합니다.
17 For a will is in force where there has been death, for it is never in force while he who made it lives.For a testament is of force where there hath been death: for it doth never avail while he that made it liveth.유언은 죽음이 있어야 효력이 있으며, 그것을 작성한 사람이 살아 있는 동안에는 결코 효력이 없습니다.
18 Therefore even the first covenant has not been dedicated without blood.Wherefore even the first covenant hath not been dedicated without blood.그러므로 첫 언약도 피 없이 세워지지 않았습니다.
19 For when every commandment had been spoken by Moses to all the people according to the law, he took the blood of the calves and the goats, with water and scarlet wool and hyssop, and sprinkled both the book itself and all the people,For when every commandment had been spoken by Moses unto all the people according to the law, he took the blood of the calves and the goats, with water and scarlet wool and hyssop, and sprinkled both the book itself and all the people,모세가 율법대로 모든 계명을 온 백성에게 말한 뒤에, 송아지와 염소의 피를 물과 붉은 양털과 우슬초와 함께 가지고, 그 책 자체와 모든 백성에게 뿌리며
20 saying, “ This is the blood of the covenant which God has commanded you.”saying, This is the blood of the covenant which God commanded to you-ward.말하기를 “이것은 하나님께서 너희에게 명하신 언약의 피다”라고 했습니다.
21 He sprinkled the tabernacle and all the vessels of the ministry in the same way with the blood.Moreover the tabernacle and all the vessels of the ministry he sprinkled in like manner with the blood.또한 그는 같은 방식으로 성막과 예배에 쓰는 모든 기구에 그 피를 뿌렸습니다.
22 According to the law, nearly everything is cleansed with blood, and apart from shedding of blood there is no remission.And according to the law, I may almost say, all things are cleansed with blood, and apart from shedding of blood there is no remission.율법을 따르면 거의 모든 것이 피로 깨끗하게 되며, 피 흘림이 없으면 죄 사함도 없습니다.
23 It was necessary therefore that the copies of the things in the heavens should be cleansed with these, but the heavenly things themselves with better sacrifices than these.It was necessary therefore that the copies of the things in the heavens should be cleansed with these; but the heavenly things themselves with better sacrifices than these.그러므로 하늘에 있는 것들의 모형은 이런 것들로 깨끗하게 할 필요가 있었지만, 하늘에 있는 것들 자체는 이보다 더 나은 제물로 깨끗하게 해야 했습니다.
24 For Christ hasn’ t entered into holy places made with hands, which are representations of the true, but into heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of God for us;For Christ entered not into a holy place made with hands, like in pattern to the true; but into heaven itself, now to appear before the face of God for us:그리스도께서는 참된 것의 모형인, 손으로 지은 성소에 들어가신 것이 아니라 하늘 그 자체에 들어가셨습니다. 이제 우리를 위해 하나님 앞에 나타나려는 것입니다.
25 nor yet that he should offer himself often, as the high priest enters into the holy place year by year with blood not his own,nor yet that he should offer himself often, as the high priest entereth into the holy place year by year with blood not his own;또한 그분은 대제사장이 해마다 자기 것이 아닌 피를 가지고 성소에 들어가는 것처럼, 자기 자신을 여러 번 드리려는 것도 아닙니다.
26 or else he must have suffered often since the foundation of the world. But now once at the end of the ages, he has been revealed to put away sin by the sacrifice of himself.else must he often have suffered since the foundation of the world: but now once at the end of the ages hath he been manifested to put away sin by the sacrifice of himself.만일 그렇다면 그분은 세상이 창조된 이래로 여러 번 고난을 당하셔야 했을 것입니다. 그러나 이제 그분은 시대의 끝에 단 한 번 나타나셔서, 자기 자신을 제물로 드려 죄를 없애셨습니다.
27 Inasmuch as it is appointed for men to die once, and after this, judgment,And inasmuch as it is appointed unto men once to die, and after this cometh judgment;사람이 한 번 죽는 것은 정해진 일이며, 그 후에는 심판이 있습니다.
28 so Christ also, having been offered once to bear the sins of many, will appear a second time, not to deal with sin, but to save those who are eagerly waiting for him.so Christ also, having been once offered to bear the sins of many, shall appear a second time, apart from sin, to them that wait for him, unto salvation.이와 같이 그리스도께서도 많은 사람의 죄를 담당하시려고 단 한 번 드려지셨고, 자기를 간절히 기다리는 사람들에게 두 번째로 나타나실 것인데, 이번에는 죄와 상관없이 구원을 위해 나타나실 것입니다.
