1 Now Boaz went up to the gate and sat down there. Behold, the near kinsman of whom Boaz spoke came by. Boaz said to him, “ Come over here, friend, and sit down!” He came over, and sat down.Now Boaz went up to the gate, and sat him down there: and, behold, the near kinsman of whom Boaz spake came by; unto whom he said, Ho, such a one! turn aside, sit down here. 3 He said to the near kinsman, “ Naomi, who has come back out of the country of Moab, is selling the parcel of land, which was our brother Elimelech’s.And he said unto the near kinsman, Naomi, that is come again out of the country of Moab, selleth the parcel of land, which was our brother Elimelech’s:보아스가 그 가까운 친족에게 말했다. 4 I thought I should tell you, saying, ‘ Buy it before those who sit here, and before the elders of my people.’ If you will redeem it, redeem it; but if you will not redeem it, then tell me, that I may know. For there is no one to redeem it besides you; and I am after you.” He said, “ I will redeem it.”and I thought to disclose it unto thee, saying, Buy it before them that sit here, and before the elders of my people. If thou wilt redeem it, redeem it: but if thou wilt not redeem it, then tell me, that I may know; for there is none to redeem it besides thee; and I am after thee. 5 Then Boaz said, “ On the day you buy the field from the hand of Naomi, you must buy it also from Ruth the Moabitess, the wife of the dead, to raise up the name of the dead on his inheritance.”Then said Boaz, What day thou buyest the field of the hand of Naomi, thou must buy it also of Ruth the Moabitess, the wife of the dead, to raise up the name of the dead upon his inheritance.그러자 보아스가 말했다. "당신이 나오미의 손에서 그 밭을 사는 날에는, 죽은 자의 아내인 모압 여인 룻에게서도 그것을 사서, 죽은 자의 이름을 그의 유산 위에 세워야 합니다."
6 The near kinsman said, “ I can’t redeem it for myself, lest I endanger my own inheritance. Take my right of redemption for yourself; for I can’t redeem it.”And the near kinsman said, I cannot redeem it for myself, lest I mar mine own inheritance: take thou my right of redemption on thee; for I cannot redeem it.그 가까운 친족이 말했다. "내가 그것을 무르면 내 유산을 망가뜨리게 될까 하여 무를 수 없습니다. 내가 무를 수 없으니, 당신이 나의 무를 권리를 가지십시오."

8 So the near kinsman said to Boaz, “ Buy it for yourself,” then he took off his sandal.So the near kinsman said unto Boaz, Buy it for thyself. And he drew off his shoe.그래서 그 가까운 친족이 보아스에게 "당신이 사십시오" 하고는 자기 신을 벗었다.
9 Boaz said to the elders and to all the people, “ You are witnesses today, that I have bought all that was Elimelech’s, and all that was Chilion’s and Mahlon’s, from the hand of Naomi.And Boaz said unto the elders, and unto all the people, Ye are witnesses this day, that I have bought all that was Elimelech’s, and all that was Chilion’s and Mahlon’s, of the hand of Naomi.보아스가 장로들과 모든 백성에게 말했다. 11 All the people who were in the gate, and the elders, said, “ We are witnesses. 12 Let your house be like the house of Perez, whom Tamar bore to Judah, of the offspring which Yahweh will give you by this young woman.”and let thy house be like the house of Perez, whom Tamar bare unto Judah, of the seed which Jehovah shall give thee of this young woman.여호와께서 이 젊은 여인에게서 당신에게 주실 후손으로, 당신의 집이 다말이 유다에게 낳은 베레스의 집같이 되기를 빕니다."

14 The women said to Naomi, “ Blessed be Yahweh, who has not left you today without a near kinsman. Let his name be famous in Israel.And the women said unto Naomi, Blessed be Jehovah, who hath not left thee this day without a near kinsman; and let his name be famous in Israel.여인들이 나오미에게 말했다. "여호와를 찬송합니다. 그분이 오늘 당신에게 가까운 친족이 없게 하지 않으셨습니다. 그의 이름이 이스라엘에서 이름을 떨치기를 빕니다.
15 He shall be to you a restorer of life and sustain you in your old age; for your daughter-in-law, who loves you, who is better to you than seven sons, has given birth to him.”And he shall be unto thee a restorer of life, and a nourisher of thine old age, for thy daughter-in-law, who loveth thee, who is better to thee than seven sons, hath borne him.그가 당신에게 생명을 회복시켜 주는 자가 되고, 당신의 노년을 봉양할 것입니다. 당신을 사랑하며 일곱 아들보다 당신에게 더 나은 당신의 며느리가 그를 낳았기 때문입니다."

17 The women, her neighbors, gave him a name, saying, “ A son is born to Naomi”. They named him Obed. 20 and Amminadab became the father of Nahshon, and Nahshon became the father of Salmon,and Amminadab begat Nahshon, and Nahshon begat Salmon,암미나답은 나손을 낳고, 나손은 살몬을 낳고,
21 and Salmon became the father of Boaz, and Boaz became the father of Obed,and Salmon begat Boaz, and Boaz begat Obed,살몬은 보아스를 낳고, 보아스는 오벳을 낳고,
22 and Obed became the father of Jesse, and Jesse became the father of David.and Obed begat Jesse, and Jesse begat David.오벳은 이새를 낳고, 이새는 다윗을 낳았다.
