1 “ Now, you priests, this commandment is for you.And now, O ye priests, this commandment is for you."이제 제사장들아, 이 명령은 너희를 향한 것이다.
2 If you will not listen, and if you will not take it to heart, to give glory to my name,” says Yahweh of Armies, “ then I will send the curse on you, and I will curse your blessings. Indeed, I have cursed them already, because you do not take it to heart.If ye will not hear, and if ye will not lay it to heart, to give glory unto my name, saith Jehovah of hosts, then will I send the curse upon you, and I will curse your blessings; yea, I have cursed them already, because ye do not lay it to heart.만군의 여호와께서 말씀하신다. 만일 너희가 듣지 않고, 마음에 두어 내 이름에 영광을 돌리지 않으면, 내가 너희에게 저주를 보내고 너희가 받은 복을 저주로 바꾸겠다. 너희가 이것을 마음에 두지 않았기에 내가 이미 그 복들을 저주하였다.
3 Behold, I will rebuke your offspring, and will spread dung on your faces, even the dung of your feasts; and you will be taken away with it.Behold, I will rebuke your seed, and will spread dung upon your faces, even the dung of your feasts; and ye shall be taken away with it.보라, 내가 너희 자손을 꾸짖고, 너희 얼굴에 똥을 뿌릴 것이다. 곧 너희 절기 제물의 똥이다. 너희가 그것과 함께 치워질 것이다.
4 You will know that I have sent this commandment to you, that my covenant may be with Levi,” says Yahweh of Armies.And ye shall know that I have sent this commandment unto you, that my covenant may be with Levi, saith Jehovah of hosts.그러면 너희는 내가 이 명령을 너희에게 보낸 것이, 레위와 맺은 내 언약을 지키려는 것임을 알게 될 것이다." 만군의 여호와께서 말씀하신다.
5 “ My covenant was with him of life and peace; and I gave them to him that he might be reverent toward me; and he was reverent toward me, and stood in awe of my name.My covenant was with him of life and peace; and I gave them to him that he might fear; and he feared me, and stood in awe of my name."그와 맺은 내 언약은 생명과 평화의 언약이었다. 내가 그에게 이것들을 준 것은 그가 나를 경외하게 하려 함이었는데, 그는 나를 경외하였고 내 이름 앞에 두려워 떨었다.

8 But you have turned away from the path. You have caused many to stumble in the law. You have corrupted the covenant of Levi,” says Yahweh of Armies.But ye are turned aside out of the way; ye have caused many to stumble in the law; ye have corrupted the covenant of Levi, saith Jehovah of hosts.그러나 너희는 그 길에서 벗어났고, 율법으로 많은 사람을 걸려 넘어지게 하였으며, 레위의 언약을 더럽혔다." 만군의 여호와께서 말씀하신다.
9 “ Therefore I have also made you contemptible and wicked before all the people, according to the way you have not kept my ways, but have had respect for persons in the law.Therefore have I also made you contemptible and base before all the people, according as ye have not kept my ways, but have had respect of persons in the law."그러므로 나도 너희를 모든 백성 앞에서 멸시받고 천하게 만들었다. 너희가 내 길을 지키지 않고, 율법을 다룰 때에 사람을 차별하였기 때문이다."
10 Don’t we all have one father? Hasn’t one God created us? Why do we deal treacherously every man against his brother, profaning the covenant of our fathers?Have we not all one father? hath not one God created us? why do we deal treacherously every man against his brother, profaning the covenant of our fathers?우리 모두에게 한 아버지가 계시지 않은가? 한 하나님께서 우리를 창조하시지 않았는가? 그런데 어찌하여 우리가 저마다 자기 형제에게 거짓을 행하여, 우리 조상들의 언약을 더럽히는가?
11 Judah has dealt treacherously, and an abomination is committed in Israel and in Jerusalem; for Judah has profaned the holiness of Yahweh which he loves, and has married the daughter of a foreign god.Judah hath dealt treacherously, and an abomination is committed in Israel and in Jerusalem; for Judah hath profaned the holiness of Jehovah which he loveth, and hath married the daughter of a foreign god.유다가 거짓을 행하였고, 이스라엘과 예루살렘에서 가증한 일이 저질러졌다. 유다가 여호와께서 사랑하시는 그분의 거룩함을 더럽히고, 이방 신의 딸과 결혼하였기 때문이다.
12 Yahweh will cut off the man who does this, him who wakes and him who answers, out of the tents of Jacob and him who offers an offering to Yahweh of Armies.Jehovah will cut off, to the man that doeth this, him that waketh and him that answereth, out of the tents of Jacob, and him that offereth an offering unto Jehovah of hosts.이런 일을 행하는 사람에게는, 깨어 있는 자든 응답하는 자든, 또 만군의 여호와께 예물을 드리는 자든, 여호와께서 야곱의 장막에서 끊어 버리실 것이다.
13 “ This again you do: you cover Yahweh’s altar with tears, with weeping, and with sighing, because he doesn’t regard the offering any more, neither receives it with good will at your hand.And this again ye do: ye cover the altar of Jehovah with tears, with weeping, and with sighing, insomuch that he regardeth not the offering any more, neither receiveth it with good will at your hand.너희가 또 이런 일도 행한다. 너희는 여호와의 제단을 눈물과 울음과 탄식으로 덮는다. 그분이 더 이상 그 예물을 돌아보지 않으시고, 너희 손에서 그것을 기쁘게 받지 않으시기 때문이다.
14 Yet you say, ‘ Why?’ Because Yahweh has been witness between you and the wife of your youth, against whom you have dealt treacherously, though she is your companion and the wife of your covenant.Yet ye say, Wherefore? Because Jehovah hath been witness between thee and the wife of thy youth, against whom thou hast dealt treacherously, though she is thy companion, and the wife of thy covenant.그런데도 너희는 "어찌하여 그렇습니까?" 하고 묻는다. 그것은 여호와께서 너와 네 젊은 시절의 아내 사이에 증인이 되셨기 때문이다. 그 아내는 네 짝이요 네 언약의 아내인데도, 네가 그를 배신하여 거짓을 행하였다.
15 Did he not make you one, although he had the residue of the Spirit? Why one? He sought godly offspring. Therefore take heed to your spirit, and let none deal treacherously against the wife of his youth.하나님께서 그분의 영을 충분히 가지고 계셨으면서도, 두 사람을 하나로 만들지 않으셨는가? 어찌하여 하나인가? 그분이 경건한 자손을 구하셨기 때문이다. 그러므로 너희 영을 삼가 지키고, 아무도 자기 젊은 시절의 아내를 배신하여 거짓을 행하지 말라.
16 One who hates and divorces”, says Yahweh, the God of Israel, “ covers his garment with violence!” says Yahweh of Armies. “ Therefore pay attention to your spirit, that you don’t be unfaithful.For I hate putting away, saith Jehovah, the God of Israel, and him that covereth his garment with violence, saith Jehovah of hosts: therefore take heed to your spirit, that ye deal not treacherously.이스라엘의 하나님 여호와께서 말씀하신다. "나는 이혼을 미워하며, 자기 옷을 폭력으로 덮는 자를 미워한다." 만군의 여호와께서 말씀하신다. "그러므로 너희 영을 삼가 지켜, 거짓을 행하지 말라."
17 You have wearied Yahweh with your words. Yet you say, ‘ How have we wearied him?’ In that you say, ‘ Everyone who does evil is good in Yahweh’s sight, and he delights in them;’ or ‘ Where is the God of justice?’Ye have wearied Jehovah with your words. Yet ye say, Wherein have we wearied him? In that ye say, Every one that doeth evil is good in the sight of Jehovah, and he delighteth in them; or where is the God of justice?너희가 너희 말로 여호와를 지치게 하였다. 그런데도 너희는 "우리가 어떻게 그분을 지치게 하였습니까?" 하고 묻는다. 그것은 너희가 "악을 행하는 자마다 여호와 보시기에 선하며, 그분이 그들을 기뻐하신다"라고 말하거나, "공의의 하나님이 어디 계신가?"라고 말하기 때문이다.
