17. carry . . . away with . . . captivity —rather, "will cast thee away with a mighty throw" [MAURER]. "Mighty," literally, "of a man" (so :- ). surely cover —namely, with shame, where thou art rearing a monument to perpetuate thy fame [VITRINGA].
