17. Minnith . . . Pannag —names of places in Israel famed for good wheat, wherewith Tyre was supplied ( 1 Kings 5:9 ; 1 Kings 5:11 ; Ezra 3:7 ; Acts 12:20 ); Minnith was formerly an Ammonite city ( Acts 12:20- : ). "Pannag" is identified by GROTIUS with "Phenice," the Greek name for "Canaan."
