1 Finally, my brothers, rejoice in the Lord! To write the same things to you, to me indeed is not tiresome, but for you it is safe.Finally, my brethren, rejoice in the Lord. To write the same things to you, to me indeed is not irksome, but for you it is safe.끝으로 내 형제들이여, 주 안에서 기뻐하십시오. 같은 것을 여러분에게 거듭 쓰는 일이 내게는 조금도 번거롭지 않고, 여러분에게는 안전한 길입니다.
2 Beware of the dogs; beware of the evil workers; beware of the false circumcision.Beware of the dogs, beware of the evil workers, beware of the concision:개들을 조심하십시오. 악한 일꾼들을 조심하십시오. 거짓 할례를 조심하십시오.
3 For we are the circumcision, who worship God in the Spirit, and rejoice in Christ Jesus, and have no confidence in the flesh;for we are the circumcision, who worship by the Spirit of God, and glory in Christ Jesus, and have no confidence in the flesh:하나님을 성령으로 예배하고, 그리스도 예수 안에서 기뻐하며, 육체를 의지하지 않는 우리야말로 참 할례를 받은 사람들입니다.
4 though I myself might have confidence even in the flesh. If any other man thinks that he has confidence in the flesh, I yet more:though I myself might have confidence even in the flesh: if any other man thinketh to have confidence in the flesh, I yet more:비록 나 자신은 육체로도 의지할 만한 것이 있다고 할 수 있습니다. 누구든지 육체를 의지할 만하다고 생각한다면, 나는 그보다 더합니다.
5 circumcised the eighth day, of the stock of Israel, of the tribe of Benjamin, a Hebrew of Hebrews; concerning the law, a Pharisee;circumcised the eighth day, of the stock of Israel, of the tribe of Benjamin, a Hebrew of Hebrews; as touching the law, a Pharisee;나는 여드레 만에 할례를 받았고, 이스라엘 혈통이며, 베냐민 지파 출신이고, 히브리 사람 중의 히브리 사람입니다. 율법으로 말하면 바리새파 사람이었고,
6 concerning zeal, persecuting the assembly; concerning the righteousness which is in the law, found blameless.as touching zeal, persecuting the church; as touching the righteousness which is in the law, found blameless.열심으로 말하면 교회를 핍박하던 사람이었으며, 율법 안의 의로 말하면 흠 잡힐 데 없는 사람이었습니다.
7 However, I consider those things that were gain to me as a loss for Christ.Howbeit what things were gain to me, these have I counted loss for Christ.그러나 내게 유익하던 그 모든 것을, 나는 그리스도를 위하여 해로운 것으로 여기게 되었습니다.
8 Yes most certainly, and I count all things to be a loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus, my Lord, for whom I suffered the loss of all things, and count them nothing but refuse, that I may gain ChristYea verily, and I count all things to be loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord: for whom I suffered the loss of all things, and do count them but refuse, that I may gain Christ,그뿐 아니라, 내 주 그리스도 예수를 아는 지식이 가장 뛰어나기에, 나는 모든 것을 해로운 것으로 여깁니다. 나는 그분을 위하여 모든 것을 잃어버렸고, 그것들을 배설물처럼 여깁니다. 이는 내가 그리스도를 얻고,
9 and be found in him, not having a righteousness of my own, that which is of the law, but that which is through faith in Christ, the righteousness which is from God by faith,and be found in him, not having a righteousness of mine own, even that which is of the law, but that which is through faith in Christ, the righteousness which is from God by faith:그분 안에서 발견되기 위함입니다. 내게는 율법에서 난 나 자신의 의가 아니라, 그리스도를 믿는 믿음으로 말미암은 의, 곧 믿음에 근거하여 하나님께로부터 나는 의가 있습니다.
10 that I may know him and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, becoming conformed to his death,that I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, becoming conformed unto his death;내가 그분과 그분의 부활의 능력을 알고, 그분의 고난에 동참하여, 그분의 죽으심을 본받기 위함이며,
11 if by any means I may attain to the resurrection from the dead.if by any means I may attain unto the resurrection from the dead.어떻게 해서든지 죽은 사람들 가운데서 부활에 이르려는 것입니다.
12 Not that I have already obtained, or am already made perfect; but I press on, that I may take hold of that for which also I was taken hold of by Christ Jesus.Not that I have already obtained, or am already made perfect: but I press on, if so be that I may lay hold on that for which also I was laid hold on by Christ Jesus.내가 이미 얻었다거나 이미 온전해졌다는 것이 아닙니다. 다만 나는, 그리스도 예수께서 나를 붙잡아 주신 그 목적을 나도 붙잡으려고 좇아갑니다.
13 Brothers, I don’t regard myself as yet having taken hold, but one thing I do: forgetting the things which are behind and stretching forward to the things which are before,Brethren, I count not myself yet to have laid hold: but one thing I do, forgetting the things which are behind, and stretching forward to the things which are before,형제들이여, 나는 내가 이미 붙잡았다고 여기지 않습니다. 다만 한 가지, 곧 뒤에 있는 것은 잊어버리고 앞에 있는 것을 향하여 몸을 내밀며,
14 I press on toward the goal for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.I press on toward the goal unto the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.하나님께서 그리스도 예수 안에서 위로 부르신 그 부름의 상을 얻으려고, 푯대를 향하여 좇아갑니다.
15 Let us therefore, as many as are perfect, think this way. If in anything you think otherwise, God will also reveal that to you.Let us therefore, as many as are perfect, be thus minded: and if in anything ye are otherwise minded, this also shall God reveal unto you:그러므로 온전한 우리는 모두 이렇게 생각합시다. 혹시 여러분이 무엇이든 다르게 생각한다면, 하나님께서 그것도 여러분에게 드러내 보여 주실 것입니다.
16 Nevertheless, to the extent that we have already attained, let’s walk by the same rule. Let’s be of the same mind.only, whereunto we have attained, by that same rule let us walk.다만 우리가 이미 이른 그만큼은, 그 같은 본을 따라 걸어갑시다. 같은 마음을 품읍시다.
17 Brothers, be imitators together of me, and note those who walk this way, even as you have us for an example.Brethren, be ye imitators together of me, and mark them that so walk even as ye have us for an ensample.형제들이여, 여러분은 다 함께 나를 본받는 사람이 되십시오. 그리고 여러분이 우리를 본보기로 삼은 것처럼, 그렇게 걸어가는 이들을 눈여겨보십시오.
18 For many walk, of whom I told you often, and now tell you even weeping, as the enemies of the cross of Christ,For many walk, of whom I told you often, and now tell you even weeping, that they are the enemies of the cross of Christ:내가 여러 번 여러분에게 말하였고 지금도 눈물을 흘리며 말하거니와, 많은 사람이 그리스도의 십자가의 원수로 살아갑니다.
19 whose end is destruction, whose god is the belly, and whose glory is in their shame, who think about earthly things.whose end is perdition, whose god is the belly, and whose glory is in their shame, who mind earthly things.그들의 끝은 멸망이요, 그들의 신은 자기 배이며, 그들의 영광은 그들의 부끄러움에 있고, 그들은 땅의 일만 생각합니다.
20 For our citizenship is in heaven, from where we also wait for a Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ,For our citizenship is in heaven; whence also we wait for a Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ:그러나 우리의 시민권은 하늘에 있습니다. 우리는 그곳으로부터 구원자, 곧 주 예수 그리스도를 기다립니다.
21 who will change the body of our humiliation to be conformed to the body of his glory, according to the working by which he is able even to subject all things to himself.who shall fashion anew the body of our humiliation, that it may be conformed to the body of his glory, according to the working whereby he is able even to subject all things unto himself.그분은 만물을 자기에게 복종시킬 수 있는 그 능력으로, 우리의 낮은 몸을 그분의 영광스러운 몸과 같은 모습으로 변화시켜 주실 것입니다.
