Habakkuk 1장

The revelation which Habakkuk the prophet saw.The burden which Habakkuk the prophet did see.

Yahweh, how long will I cry, and you will not hear? I cry out to you “ Violence!” and will you not save?O Jehovah, how long shall I cry, and thou wilt not hear? I cry out unto thee of violence, and thou wilt not save.

Why do you show me iniquity, and look at perversity? For destruction and violence are before me. There is strife, and contention rises up.Why dost thou show me iniquity, and look upon perverseness? for destruction and violence are before me; and there is strife, and contention riseth up.

Therefore the law is paralyzed, and justice never prevails; for the wicked surround the righteous; therefore justice comes out perverted. Therefore the law is slacked, and justice doth never go forth; for the wicked doth compass about the righteous; therefore justice goeth forth perverted.

“ Look among the nations, watch, and wonder marvelously; for I am working a work in your days which you will not believe though it is told you.Behold ye among the nations, and look, and wonder marvellously; for I am working a work in your days, which ye will not believe though it be told you."

For, behold, I am raising up the Chaldeans, that bitter and hasty nation who march through the width of the earth, to possess dwelling places that are not theirs. For, lo, I raise up the Chaldeans, that bitter and hasty nation, that march through the breadth of the earth, to possess dwelling-places that are not theirs.

They are feared and dreaded. Their judgment and their dignity proceed from themselves. They are terrible and dreadful; their judgment and their dignity proceed from themselves.

Their horses also are swifter than leopards, and are more fierce than the evening wolves. Their horsemen press proudly on. Yes, their horsemen come from afar. They fly as an eagle that hurries to devour.Their horses also are swifter than leopards, and are more fierce than the evening wolves; and their horsemen press proudly on: yea, their horsemen come from far; they fly as an eagle that hasteth to devour.

All of them come for violence. Their hordes face forward. They gather prisoners like sand. They come all of them for violence; the set of their faces is forwards; and they gather captives as the sand.

Yes, they scoff at kings, and princes are a derision to them. They laugh at every stronghold, for they build up an earthen ramp and take it.Yea, he scoffeth at kings, and princes are a derision unto him; he derideth every stronghold; for he heapeth up dust, and taketh it.

Then they sweep by like the wind and go on. They are indeed guilty, whose strength is their god.”Then shall he sweep by as a wind, and shall pass over, and be guilty, even he whose might is his god.

Aren’t you from everlasting, Yahweh my God, my Holy One? We will not die. Yahweh, you have appointed them for judgment. You, Rock, have established him to punish.Art not thou from everlasting, O Jehovah my God, my Holy One? we shall not die. O Jehovah, thou hast ordained him for judgment; and thou, O Rock, hast established him for correction.

You who have purer eyes than to see evil, and who cannot look on perversity, why do you tolerate those who deal treacherously and keep silent when the wicked swallows up the man who is more righteous than he,Thou that art of purer eyes than to behold evil, and that canst not look on perverseness, wherefore lookest thou upon them that deal treacherously, and holdest thy peace when the wicked swalloweth up the man that is more righteous than he;주의 눈은 너무 정결하셔서 악을 보지 못하시며 패역을 차마 바라보지 못하시는데, 어찌하여 배신하는 자들을 그냥 두시며, 악인이 자기보다 의로운 사람을 삼킬 때 잠잠히 계십니까?

and make men like the fish of the sea, like the creeping things that have no ruler over them?and makest men as the fishes of the sea, as the creeping things, that have no ruler over them?

He takes up all of them with the hook. He catches them in his net and gathers them in his dragnet. Therefore he rejoices and is glad.He taketh up all of them with the angle, he catcheth them in his net, and gathereth them in his drag: therefore he rejoiceth and is glad.

Therefore he sacrifices to his net and burns incense to his dragnet, because by them his life is luxurious and his food is good. Therefore he sacrificeth unto his net, and burneth incense unto his drag; because by them his portion is fat, and his food plenteous.

Will he therefore continually empty his net, and kill the nations without mercy?Shall he therefore empty his net, and spare not to slay the nations continually?
