1 Brothers, even if a man is caught in some fault, you who are spiritual must restore such a one in a spirit of gentleness, looking to yourself so that you also aren’ t tempted.Brethren, even if a man be overtaken in any trespass, ye who are spiritual, restore such a one in a spirit of gentleness; looking to thyself, lest thou also be tempted.형제 여러분, 어떤 사람이 어떤 잘못에 빠지더라도, 신령한 여러분은 온유한 마음으로 그런 사람을 바로 세워 주십시오. 그러면서 여러분 자신도 시험에 빠지지 않도록 스스로를 살피십시오.
2 Bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ.Bear ye one another’s burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ.서로의 짐을 져 주십시오. 그렇게 함으로 그리스도의 법을 이루십시오.
3 For if a man thinks himself to be something when he is nothing, he deceives himself.For if a man thinketh himself to be something when he is nothing, he deceiveth himself.어떤 사람이 아무것도 아니면서 자기를 대단한 사람으로 여긴다면, 그는 자기 자신을 속이는 것입니다.
4 But let each man examine his own work, and then he will have reason to boast in himself, and not in someone else.But let each man prove his own work, and then shall he have his glorying in regard of himself alone, and not of his neighbor.그러니 각 사람은 자기 일을 스스로 점검하십시오. 그러면 자기가 한 일로 자랑할 것이지, 남과 비교하여 자랑하지는 않을 것입니다.
5 For each man will bear his own burden.For each man shall bear his own burden.사람은 저마다 자기 몫의 짐을 져야 하기 때문입니다.
6 But let him who is taught in the word share all good things with him who teaches.But let him that is taught in the word communicate unto him that teacheth in all good things.말씀을 배우는 사람은 가르치는 사람과 모든 좋은 것을 함께 나누십시오.
7 Don’t be deceived. God is not mocked, for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap.Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.속지 마십시오. 하나님은 조롱당하지 않으십니다. 사람이 무엇을 심든지 바로 그것을 거두게 됩니다.
8 For he who sows to his own flesh will from the flesh reap corruption. But he who sows to the Spirit will from the Spirit reap eternal life.For he that soweth unto his own flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth unto the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap eternal life.자기 육체를 위해 심는 사람은 육체에서 썩어질 것을 거두고, 성령을 위해 심는 사람은 성령에게서 영원한 생명을 거둘 것입니다.
9 Let’s not be weary in doing good, for we will reap in due season if we don’ t give up.And let us not be weary in well-doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.선한 일을 하다가 지치지 맙시다. 낙심하지 않으면 때가 되어 거두게 될 것입니다.
10 So then, as we have opportunity, let’ s do what is good toward all men, and especially toward those who are of the household of the faith.So then, as we have opportunity, let us work that which is good toward all men, and especially toward them that are of the household of the faith.그러므로 기회가 있을 때마다 모든 사람에게 선을 행하되, 특히 믿음의 가정에 속한 사람들에게 더욱 그렇게 합시다.
11 See with what large letters I write to you with my own hand.See with how large letters I write unto you with mine own hand.보십시오, 내가 여러분에게 직접 손으로 얼마나 큰 글자로 쓰는지를.
12 As many as desire to make a good impression in the flesh compel you to be circumcised, just so they may not be persecuted for the cross of Christ.As many as desire to make a fair show in the flesh, they compel you to be circumcised; only that they may not be persecuted for the cross of Christ.육체적으로 좋게 보이려는 사람들이 여러분에게 할례를 받으라고 강요합니다. 그것은 오직 그리스도의 십자가 때문에 받는 박해를 피하려는 것입니다.
13 For even they who receive circumcision don’ t keep the law themselves, but they desire to have you circumcised, so that they may boast in your flesh.For not even they who receive circumcision do themselves keep the law; but they desire to have you circumcised, that they may glory in your flesh.할례를 받은 사람들조차도 스스로 율법을 지키지 않으면서, 여러분의 육체를 두고 자랑하려고 여러분에게 할례를 받게 하려는 것입니다.
14 But far be it from me to boast except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, through which the world has been crucified to me, and I to the world.But far be it from me to glory, save in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, through which the world hath been crucified unto me, and I unto the world.그러나 나는 우리 주 예수 그리스도의 십자가 외에는 결코 자랑하지 않겠습니다. 그 십자가로 말미암아 세상이 나에 대하여 십자가에 못 박혔고, 나도 세상에 대하여 십자가에 못 박혔습니다.
15 For in Christ Jesus neither is circumcision anything, nor uncircumcision, but a new creation.For neither is circumcision anything, nor uncircumcision, but a new creature.그리스도 예수 안에서는 할례를 받았든 받지 않았든 아무것도 아니며, 오직 새로운 피조물이 되는 것이 중요합니다.
16 As many as walk by this rule, peace and mercy be on them, and on God’s Israel.And as many as shall walk by this rule, peace be upon them, and mercy, and upon the Israel of God.이 법칙을 따라 사는 모든 사람에게, 그리고 하나님의 이스라엘에게 평화와 긍휼이 있기를 빕니다.
17 From now on, let no one cause me any trouble, for I bear the marks of the Lord Jesus branded on my body.Henceforth let no man trouble me; for I bear branded on my body the marks of Jesus.이제부터는 아무도 나를 괴롭히지 마십시오. 나는 내 몸에 예수의 흔적을 지니고 있습니다.
18 The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit, brothers. Amen.The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit, brethren. Amen.형제 여러분, 우리 주 예수 그리스도의 은혜가 여러분의 영과 함께하기를 빕니다. 아멘.
