1 Paul, an apostle— not from men, nor through man, but through Jesus Christ, and God the Father, who raised him from the dead —Paul, an apostle ( not from men, neither through man, but through Jesus Christ, and God the Father, who raised him from the dead ),사람들에게서 난 것도 아니고 사람을 통해서 된 것도 아니며, 오직 예수 그리스도와 그분을 죽은 자들 가운데서 살리신 하나님 아버지를 통해 사도가 된 나 바울은,
2 and all the brothers who are with me, to the assemblies of Galatia:and all the brethren that are with me, unto the churches of Galatia:나와 함께 있는 모든 형제와 더불어 갈라디아의 여러 교회에 편지합니다.
3 Grace to you and peace from God the Father and our Lord Jesus Christ,Grace to you and peace from God the Father, and our Lord Jesus Christ,하나님 아버지와 우리 주 예수 그리스도께서 주시는 은혜와 평강이 여러분에게 있기를 바랍니다.
4 who gave himself for our sins, that he might deliver us out of this present evil age, according to the will of our God and Father —who gave himself for our sins, that he might deliver us out of this present evil world, according to the will of our God and Father:그리스도께서는 우리 하나님 아버지의 뜻을 따라, 이 악한 세대에서 우리를 건져 내시려고 우리의 죄를 위해 자신을 내어 주셨습니다.
5 to whom be the glory forever and ever. Amen.to whom be the glory for ever and ever. Amen.그분께 영광이 영원무궁하기를 바랍니다. 아멘.
6 I marvel that you are so quickly deserting him who called you in the grace of Christ to a different “ good news”,I marvel that ye are so quickly removing from him that called you in the grace of Christ unto a different gospel;나는 여러분이 그리스도의 은혜로 여러분을 부르신 분을 이렇게 빨리 떠나 다른 "복음"으로 돌아서는 것을 보고 놀랍니다.
7 but there isn’ t another “ good news.” Only there are some who trouble you and want to pervert the Good News of Christ.which is not another gospel: only there are some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ.사실 다른 복음이란 없습니다. 다만 여러분을 어지럽히며 그리스도의 복음을 왜곡하려는 자들이 있을 뿐입니다.
8 But even though we, or an angel from heaven, should preach to you any “ good news” other than that which we preached to you, let him be cursed.But though we, or an angel from heaven, should preach unto you any gospel other than that which we preached unto you, let him be anathema.그러나 우리든지 하늘에서 온 천사든지, 우리가 여러분에게 전한 복음과 다른 "복음"을 전한다면, 그는 저주를 받을 것입니다.
9 As we have said before, so I now say again: if any man preaches to you any “ good news” other than that which you received, let him be cursed.As we have said before, so say I now again, If any man preacheth unto you any gospel other than that which ye received, let him be anathema.우리가 전에 말한 것처럼 내가 지금 다시 말합니다. 누구든지 여러분이 받은 복음과 다른 "복음"을 전한다면, 그는 저주를 받을 것입니다.
10 For am I now seeking the favor of men, or of God? Or am I striving to please men? For if I were still pleasing men, I wouldn’ t be a servant of Christ.For am I now seeking the favor of men, or of God? or am I striving to please men? if I were still pleasing men, I should not be a servant of Christ.내가 지금 사람의 환심을 구합니까, 아니면 하나님의 인정을 구합니까? 내가 사람을 기쁘게 하려 하는 것입니까? 내가 지금까지도 사람을 기쁘게 하려 한다면, 나는 그리스도의 종이 아닐 것입니다.
11 But I make known to you, brothers, concerning the Good News which was preached by me, that it is not according to man.For I make known to you, brethren, as touching the gospel which was preached by me, that it is not after man.형제들이여, 내가 여러분에게 알려 드립니다. 내가 전한 복음은 사람에게서 난 것이 아닙니다.
12 For I didn’t receive it from man, nor was I taught it, but it came to me through revelation of Jesus Christ.For neither did I receive it from man, nor was I taught it, but it came to me through revelation of Jesus Christ.나는 그것을 사람에게서 받은 것도 아니고 배운 것도 아니며, 오직 예수 그리스도의 계시를 통해 받았습니다.
13 For you have heard of my way of living in time past in the Jews’ religion, how that beyond measure I persecuted the assembly of God and ravaged it.For ye have heard of my manner of life in time past in the Jews’ religion, how that beyond measure I persecuted the church of God, and made havoc of it:내가 전에 유대교 안에서 어떻게 살았는지를 여러분은 들었을 것입니다. 나는 하나님의 교회를 극심하게 박해하며 짓밟았습니다.
14 I advanced in the Jews’ religion beyond many of my own age among my countrymen, being more exceedingly zealous for the traditions of my fathers.and I advanced in the Jews’ religion beyond many of mine own age among my countrymen, being more exceedingly zealous for the traditions of my fathers.그리고 나는 내 조상들의 전통에 대해 더욱 열심을 내며, 유대교 안에서 내 또래의 많은 동족보다 앞서 나갔습니다.
15 But when it was the good pleasure of God, who separated me from my mother’s womb and called me through his grace,But when it was the good pleasure of God, who separated me, even from my mother’s womb, and called me through his grace,그러나 내가 어머니 태에 있을 때부터 나를 구별하시고 은혜로 나를 부르신 하나님께서 기뻐하셔서,
16 to reveal his Son in me, that I might preach him among the Gentiles, I didn’ t immediately confer with flesh and blood,to reveal his Son in me, that I might preach him among the Gentiles; straightway I conferred not with flesh and blood:내가 그분의 아들을 이방 사람들에게 전하게 하시려고 그 아들을 내 안에 나타내시기로 하셨을 때, 나는 곧바로 사람과 의논하지 않았습니다.
17 nor did I go up to Jerusalem to those who were apostles before me, but I went away into Arabia. Then I returned to Damascus.neither went I up to Jerusalem to them that were apostles before me: but I went away into Arabia; and again I returned unto Damascus.나보다 먼저 사도가 된 이들을 만나러 예루살렘으로 올라가지도 않고, 아라비아로 떠났다가 다시 다마스쿠스로 돌아왔습니다.
18 Then after three years I went up to Jerusalem to visit Peter, and stayed with him fifteen days.Then after three years I went up to Jerusalem to visit Cephas, and tarried with him fifteen days.그 후 삼 년이 지나서야 나는 베드로를 만나려고 예루살렘으로 올라가, 그와 함께 보름 동안 머물렀습니다.
19 But of the other apostles I saw no one except James, the Lord’ s brother.But other of the apostles saw I none, save James the Lord’ s brother.그러나 다른 사도들은 아무도 보지 못했고, 다만 주님의 동생 야고보만 보았습니다.
20 Now about the things which I write to you, behold, before God, I’m not lying.Now touching the things which I write unto you, behold, before God, I lie not.내가 여러분에게 쓰는 이 일들에 대해, 보십시오, 나는 하나님 앞에서 거짓말하지 않습니다.
21 Then I came to the regions of Syria and Cilicia.Then I came into the regions of Syria and Cilicia.그 후 나는 시리아와 길리기아 지방으로 갔습니다.
22 I was still unknown by face to the assemblies of Judea which were in Christ,And I was still unknown by face unto the churches of Judæa which were in Christ:그때까지도 나는 그리스도 안에 있는 유대 지역의 교회들에게 얼굴이 알려지지 않았습니다.
23 but they only heard, “ He who once persecuted us now preaches the faith that he once tried to destroy.”but they only heard say, He that once persecuted us now preacheth the faith of which he once made havoc;다만 그들은 "전에 우리를 박해하던 그 사람이 이제는 자기가 한때 무너뜨리려 하던 그 믿음을 전한다"는 소문만 들었을 뿐입니다.
24 So they glorified God in me.and they glorified God in me.그리고 그들은 나로 인해 하나님께 영광을 돌렸습니다.
