But concerning the times and the seasons, brothers, you have no need that anything be written to you.But concerning the times and the seasons, brethren, ye have no need that aught be written unto you.
For you yourselves know well that the day of the Lord comes like a thief in the night. For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night.
For when they are saying, “ Peace and safety,” then sudden destruction will come on them, like birth pains on a pregnant woman. Then they will in no way escape. When they are saying, Peace and safety, then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall in no wise escape.
But you, brothers, aren’ t in darkness, that the day should overtake you like a thief. But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief:그러나 형제 여러분, 여러분은 어둠 속에 있지 않으므로 그날이 도둑같이 여러분을 덮치지 못할 것입니다.
You are all children of light and children of the day. We don’t belong to the night, nor to darkness, for ye are all sons of light, and sons of the day: we are not of the night, nor of darkness;여러분은 모두 빛의 자녀요 낮의 자녀입니다.
so then let’s not sleep, as the rest do, but let’s watch and be sober.so then let us not sleep, as do the rest, but let us watch and be sober.
For those who sleep, sleep in the night; and those who are drunk are drunk in the night. For they that sleep sleep in the night; and they that are drunken are drunken in the night.
But since we belong to the day, let’s be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love, and for a helmet, the hope of salvation. But let us, since we are of the day, be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love; and for a helmet, the hope of salvation.
For God didn’ t appoint us to wrath, but to the obtaining of salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ,For God appointed us not unto wrath, but unto the obtaining of salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ,하나님께서는 우리를 진노에 이르도록 정하신 것이 아니라, 우리 주 예수 그리스도를 통하여 구원을 얻도록 정하셨습니다.
who died for us, that, whether we wake or sleep, we should live together with him.who died for us, that, whether we wake or sleep, we should live together with him.
Therefore exhort one another, and build each other up, even as you also do.Wherefore exhort one another, and build each other up, even as also ye do.
But we beg you, brothers, to know those who labor among you, and are over you in the Lord and admonish you,But we beseech you, brethren, to know them that labor among you, and are over you in the Lord, and admonish you;형제 여러분, 우리가 여러분에게 부탁합니다.
and to respect and honor them in love for their work’s sake. Be at peace among yourselves.and to esteem them exceeding highly in love for their work’s sake. Be at peace among yourselves.
We exhort you, brothers: Admonish the disorderly; encourage the faint-hearted; support the weak; be patient toward all.And we exhort you, brethren, admonish the disorderly, encourage the fainthearted, support the weak, be longsuffering toward all.
See that no one returns evil for evil to anyone, but always follow after that which is good for one another and for all.See that none render unto any one evil for evil; but always follow after that which is good, one toward another, and toward all.
Always rejoice.Rejoice always;
Pray without ceasing.pray without ceasing;
In everything give thanks, for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus toward you.in everything give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus to you-ward.
Don’ t quench the Spirit.Quench not the Spirit;
Don’t despise prophecies.despise not prophesyings;
Test all things, and hold firmly that which is good.prove all things; hold fast that which is good;모든 것을 분별하여 선한 것을 굳게 붙드십시오.
Abstain from every form of evil.abstain from every form of evil.
May the God of peace himself sanctify you completely. May your whole spirit, soul, and body be preserved blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. And the God of peace himself sanctify you wholly; and may your spirit and soul and body be preserved entire, without blame at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.
He who calls you is faithful, who will also do it.Faithful is he that calleth you, who will also do it.
Brothers, pray for us.Brethren, pray for us.
Greet all the brothers with a holy kiss.Salute all the brethren with a holy kiss.
I solemnly command you by the Lord that this letter be read to all the holy brothers.I adjure you by the Lord that this epistle be read unto all the brethren.
The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you. Amen. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you.
