2 We always give thanks to God for all of you, mentioning you in our prayers,We give thanks to God always for you all, making mention of you in our prayers;우리는 기도할 때마다 여러분 모두를 언급하며, 여러분 때문에 항상 하나님께 감사를 드립니다.
3 remembering without ceasing your work of faith and labor of love and perseverance of hope in our Lord Jesus Christ, before our God and Father.remembering without ceasing your work of faith and labor of love and patience of hope in our Lord Jesus Christ, before our God and Father;우리는 하나님 우리 아버지 앞에서, 우리 주 예수 그리스도를 향한 여러분의 믿음의 행위와 사랑의 수고와 소망의 인내를 끊임없이 기억합니다.
4 We know, brothers loved by God, that you are chosen,knowing, brethren beloved of God, your election,하나님께 사랑받는 형제들이여, 우리는 여러분이 택하심을 받은 줄 압니다.
5 and that our Good News came to you not in word only, but also in power, and in the Holy Spirit and with much assurance. You know what kind of men we showed ourselves to be among you for your sake.how that our gospel came not unto you in word only, but also in power, and in the Holy Spirit, and in much assurance; even as ye know what manner of men we showed ourselves toward you for your sake.우리가 전한 복음은 말로만 여러분에게 이른 것이 아니라, 능력과 성령과 큰 확신으로 임했습니다. 우리가 여러분을 위하여 여러분 가운데서 어떤 사람으로 살았는지 여러분은 잘 압니다.
6 You became imitators of us and of the Lord, having received the word in much affliction, with joy of the Holy Spirit,And ye became imitators of us, and of the Lord, having received the word in much affliction, with joy of the Holy Spirit;여러분은 많은 환난 가운데서도 성령께서 주시는 기쁨으로 말씀을 받아들여, 우리와 주님을 본받는 사람이 되었습니다.
7 so that you became an example to all who believe in Macedonia and in Achaia.so that ye became an ensample to all that believe in Macedonia and in Achaia.그리하여 여러분은 마케도니아와 아가야에 있는 모든 믿는 사람의 본보기가 되었습니다.
8 For from you the word of the Lord has been declared, not only in Macedonia and Achaia, but also in every place your faith toward God has gone out, so that we need not say anything.For from you hath sounded forth the word of the Lord, not only in Macedonia and Achaia, but in every place your faith to God-ward is gone forth; so that we need not to speak anything.주님의 말씀이 여러분에게서 울려 퍼져, 마케도니아와 아가야뿐만 아니라 하나님을 향한 여러분의 믿음이 곳곳에 퍼져 나갔으므로, 우리가 더 말할 필요가 없게 되었습니다.
9 For they themselves report concerning us what kind of a reception we had from you, and how you turned to God from idols to serve a living and true God,For they themselves report concerning us what manner of entering in we had unto you; and how ye turned unto God from idols, to serve a living and true God,사람들이 우리에 대하여, 곧 우리가 여러분에게 어떻게 받아들여졌는지를, 또 여러분이 어떻게 우상을 버리고 하나님께로 돌아와 살아 계시고 참되신 하나님을 섬기게 되었는지를 스스로 전하고 있기 때문입니다.
10 and to wait for his Son from heaven, whom he raised from the dead: Jesus, who delivers us from the wrath to come.and to wait for his Son from heaven, whom he raised from the dead, even Jesus, who delivereth us from the wrath to come.그리고 여러분이 하나님께서 죽은 사람들 가운데서 다시 살리신 그분의 아들, 곧 다가올 진노에서 우리를 건지시는 예수께서 하늘로부터 오시기를 기다리게 되었다고 전하고 있습니다.
