DIC dictionary-entry · status:draft · license:PD
trē´z ' n : The translation of קשׁר , ḳesher , in English Versions of the Bible 1 Kings 16:20; 2 Kings 11:14 parallel 2 Chronicles 23:13 . Ḳesher (from קשׁר , ḳāshar , "to bind") means "a conspiracy" (2 Samuel 15:12; 2 Kings 12:20 , etc.), and the translation "treason" is due to the King James Versions' love of variety.
