tem´ḗ - nı̄ , tē´mḗ - nı̄ ( תּימני , tēmenı̄ , Baer, תּימני , tı̄menı̄ ; Codex Vaticanus and Codex Alexandrinus Θαιμάν , Thaimán ; Lucian, Θαιμανεί , Thaimaneı́ ): The word תּימני , tēmenı̄ means a southerner, i.e. of Southern Judah; compare TEMAN (patronymic תּימני , tēmānı̄ ), the name of Edom ( Genesis 36:11 , ete), the "son" of Ashhur (1 Chronicles 4:6 ).
