sem´ḗ - ı̄ : (1) (Codex Alexandrinus Σεμεί , Semeı́ ; Codex Vaticanus Σεμεεί , Semeeı́ ): One of those who put away their "strange wives" (1 Esdras 9:33) = "Shimei" "of the sons of Hashum" in Ezra 10:33 . (2) the King James Version = the Revised Version (British and American) "Semeias" (Additions to Esther 11:2 ). (3) the King James Version form of the Revised Version (British and American) "Semein" (Luke 3:26 ).
