pel´ḗ - thı̄ts , pē´leth - ı̄ts ( פּלתי , pelēthı̄ ): A company of David's bodyguard, like the CHERETHITES (which see) (2 Samuel 8:18; 2 Samuel 15:18 ); probably a corrupt form of "Philistines."
