mṓ - sol´a - mus : (1) the King James Version "Mosollam" ( Μοσόλλαμος , Mosóllamos ), one of the three "assessors" appointed to the two commissioners in the inquiry made about "strange wives" (1 Esd 9:14) = "Meshullam" in Ezra 10:15 . (2) the King James Version "Mosollamon," one of those sent by Ezra to the captain Loddeus to obtain men who could execute the priest's office (1 Esd 8:44 Septuagint 43)) = "Meshullam" in Ezra 8:16 (Codex Vaticanus reads also Μεσολαβών , Mesolabṓn , in 1 Esd 8:44).
