Jemuel (ISBE)

jē̇ - mū´el ( ימוּאל , yemū'ēl , meaning unknown): A "son" of Simeon ( Genesis 46:10; Exodus 6:15 ) = "Nemuel" in Numbers 26:12; 1 Chronicles 4:24 . The Syriac version has "Jemuel" in the 4 passages, but Gray ( HPN , 307, note 6) thinks "Jemuel" is more probably a correction in Gen than "Nemuel" in Numbers.
