jā̇ - ā´zi - el ( יעזיאל , ya‛ăzı̄'ēl , "God strengthens"): In 1 Chronicles 15:18 , a Levite, one of the musicians appointed to play upon instruments at the bringing up of the ark by David. Kittel and Curtis, following the Septuagint (Ὀζειήλ , Ozeiḗl ), read "Uzziel," the name they adopt for Aziel in 1 Chronicles 15:20 , and for Jeiel in 1 Chronicles 16:5 .
