Chephar Ammoni (ISBE)

kē -far -am´ō̇ -nı̄ (the King James Version Chephar-haammoni; כּפר העמּוני , kephar hā‛ammōnı̄ ; Codex Vaticanus, Κεφειρὰ καὶ Μονεί , Kepheirá kaı́ Moneı́ ; A, Καφηραμμίν , Kaphērammı́n , "village of the Ammonites"): A place in the territory of Benjamin (Joshua 18:24 ). It may be identical with Kefr ‛Āna , a ruined site about two miles to the Northeast of Bethel.
