1 Paul, Silvanus, and Timothy, to the assembly of the Thessalonians in God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ:Paul, and Silvanus, and Timothy, unto the church of the Thessalonians in God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ;바울과 실루아노와 디모데가 하나님 우리 아버지와 주 예수 그리스도 안에 있는 데살로니가 교회에 편지합니다.
2 Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.Grace to you and peace from God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.하나님 우리 아버지와 주 예수 그리스도께로부터 은혜와 평강이 여러분에게 있기를 빕니다.
3 We are bound to always give thanks to God for you, brothers, even as it is appropriate, because your faith grows exceedingly, and the love of each and every one of you toward one another abounds,We are bound to give thanks to God always for you, brethren, even as it is meet, for that your faith groweth exceedingly, and the love of each one of you all toward one another aboundeth;형제 여러분, 우리는 여러분을 위해 항상 하나님께 감사해야 마땅합니다. 이는 여러분의 믿음이 더욱 크게 자라고 서로를 향한 여러분 각 사람의 사랑이 넘쳐나기 때문입니다.
4 so that we ourselves boast about you in the assemblies of God for your perseverance and faith in all your persecutions and in the afflictions which you endure.so that we ourselves glory in you in the churches of God for your patience and faith in all your persecutions and in the afflictions which ye endure;그래서 우리는 여러분이 견뎌 내는 모든 박해와 환난 가운데서도 보여 준 인내와 믿음을 두고 하나님의 여러 교회 가운데서 여러분을 자랑합니다.
5 This is an obvious sign of the righteous judgment of God, to the end that you may be counted worthy of God’s Kingdom, for which you also suffer.which is a manifest token of the righteous judgment of God; to the end that ye may be counted worthy of the kingdom of God, for which ye also suffer:이것은 하나님의 의로우신 심판을 보여 주는 분명한 증거이니, 곧 여러분이 고난을 받고 있는 그 하나님 나라에 합당한 자로 여겨지게 하려는 것입니다.
6 For it is a righteous thing with God to repay affliction to those who afflict you,if so be that it is a righteous thing with God to recompense affliction to them that afflict you,여러분을 괴롭히는 자들에게는 하나님께서 환난으로 갚으시는 것이 의로운 일입니다.
7 and to give relief to you who are afflicted with us when the Lord Jesus is revealed from heaven with his mighty angels in flaming fire,and to you that are afflicted rest with us, at the revelation of the Lord Jesus from heaven with the angels of his power in flaming fire,또 환난을 받는 여러분에게는 우리와 함께 안식을 주실 것입니다. 이는 주 예수께서 능력의 천사들과 함께 타오르는 불 가운데 하늘로부터 나타나실 때에 이루어집니다.
8 punishing those who don’ t know God, and to those who don’ t obey the Good News of our Lord Jesus,rendering vengeance to them that know not God, and to them that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus:그때에 주께서 하나님을 알지 못하는 자들과 우리 주 예수의 복음에 순종하지 않는 자들에게 보응하실 것입니다.
9 who will pay the penalty: eternal destruction from the face of the Lord and from the glory of his might,who shall suffer punishment, even eternal destruction from the face of the Lord and from the glory of his might,그들은 형벌을 받아 주의 얼굴 앞과 그 능력의 영광에서 떠나 영원한 멸망에 이르게 될 것입니다.
10 when he comes in that day to be glorified in his saints and to be admired among all those who have believed, because our testimony to you was believed.when he shall come to be glorified in his saints, and to be marvelled at in all them that believed ( because our testimony unto you was believed ) in that day.그날에 주께서 오셔서 그분의 성도들 가운데서 영광을 받으시고 믿는 모든 사람 가운데서 놀라움이 되실 것입니다. 우리가 여러분에게 전한 증거를 여러분이 믿었기 때문입니다.
11 To this end we also pray always for you that our God may count you worthy of your calling, and fulfill every desire of goodness and work of faith with power,To which end we also pray always for you, that our God may count you worthy of your calling, and fulfil every desire of goodness and every work of faith, with power;이를 위해 우리도 항상 여러분을 위해 기도합니다. 우리 하나님께서 여러분을 그 부르심에 합당한 자로 여기시고, 선을 이루려는 모든 소원과 믿음의 모든 일을 능력으로 이루어 주시기를 빕니다.
12 that the name of our Lord Jesus may be glorified in you, and you in him, according to the grace of our God and the Lord Jesus Christ.that the name of our Lord Jesus may be glorified in you, and ye in him, according to the grace of our God and the Lord Jesus Christ.그리하여 우리 하나님과 주 예수 그리스도의 은혜를 따라 우리 주 예수의 이름이 여러분 안에서 영광을 받으시고, 여러분도 그분 안에서 영광을 받게 되기를 빕니다.
