Time Calculations

This list collects all the references to times and dates from the Bible. So once this is complete, in theory if it will possible to calculate any date that can be defined from the Bible from this list.

  71. Genesis 41:26-30 (and following) - the Pharaoh's dream is interpreted and means that there would be seven years of abundance and then seven years of famine
  72. Genesis 41:46 - Joseph was 30 years old when he started working for the Pharaoh
  73. Genesis 41:50 - before the years of famine, Manasseh and Ephraim were born
  74. Genesis 45:6 - When Joseph made himself known to his brothers the famine had been lasting for two years and would last another five
  75. Genesis 47:9 - Jacob was 130 years old when he arrived in Egypt

  146. Exodus 23:10-11 - Sabbath year: sow the fields for six years but let it rest in the seventh
  147. Exodus 23:15 - In the month of Abib the Feast of Unleavened Bread is to be held for seven days
  148. Exodus 24:18 - Moses stayed on the mountain for 40 days and 40 nights when he received the stone tablets
  149. Exodus 34:28 - Moses was on Mount Sinai for another 40 days and nights
  150. Exodus 40:1 - on the first day of the first month Moses was to set up the tabernacle, Tent of Meeting, etc. This means that by then the whole stuff was finished building.
  151. Exodus 40:17 - on the first day of the first month of the second year, the tabernacle was set up and Aaron's sons were consecrated as priests.
  152. Leviticus 7:15-18 - The Fellowship Offering must be eaten on the day it is offered. If it's the result of a vow or a freewill offering, it may also be eaten on the second day.
  153. Leviticus 7:37-38 - In the desert of Sinai God told Moses the regulations of the burnt/grain/sin/guilt/ordination/fellowship offering on the day he commanded the Israelites to bring their offerings to the Lord
  154. Leviticus 8:33 - The ordination of Aaron and his sons lasted seven days
  155. Leviticus 9:1 - On the eight day - the after their ordination - Aaron and his sons began their ministry
  156. Leviticus 12:2-4 - A woman who gives birth to a boy is ceremonially unclean for seven days and must then wait 33 days to be purified from her bleeding.
  157. Leviticus 12:5 - A woman who gives birth to a girl is ceremonially unclean for two weeks and must then wait 66 days to be purified from her bleeding.
  158. Numbers 20:1 - The Israelites arrived at the Desert of Zin/Kadesh "in the first month"
  159. Numbers 33:38 - Aaron died on the first day of the fifth month of the 40th year after leaving Egypt
  160. Numbers 33:39 - Aaron was 123 years old when he died.
  161. Deuteronomy 2:14 - 38 years passed from the time the Israelites left Kadesh Barnea until they crossed Zered Valley.
  162. Deuteronomy 34:3 - Moses was 120 years old when he died.
