Abimelech took Sarah, the wife of Abraham, to his house. But when God told him, that she is Abraham's sister, Abimelech returned her including a lot of goods. Additionally, he allowed Abraham to settle in his land.
Later Abraham's son Isaac came to Gerar. Abimelech also allowed him to stay. But when Isaac got very rich and the Philistines envied him, Abimelech sent him away. But later he went to visit him together with Ahuzzath and Phicol. During this visit, Isaac and Abimelech swore that they would not harm each other.
